I am excited to announce that I have secured Martin Warner to fly in from the UK to facilitate a live, in-person, custom-made Alexander Technique experiential event to be held in Arizona:

Friday, March 28th, Saturday, March 29th, and Sunday, March 30th, 2025

Location: Chandler, Arizona

Times: 9 AM - 5 PM (Lunch Is On Your Own & Off Site 12:00-1:30)

This event gives you a unique opportunity to learn directly and in person from Martin Warner who was trained in the work of F.M. Alexander since 1999 and has over 40+ years of working with people in an educational and therapeutic capacity and throughout the world.

The Alexander Technique and Martin’s associated interweaves can help therapists to explore how the muscular system is continually being employed to wall off access to affects and deep pain, thus impacting processing. The lack of awareness of this in the client, and therapist, can deeply impact the therapeutic process. Interweaves rooted in the Alexander Technique can help deepen the therapeutic experience, further facilitate trauma processing, and address blocks.

A marked and substantial change in the relationship between the head and body can help to bring a constructive alteration of perception, time, sense of self, others, and the world during trauma processing and in other areas of one's life.

I will also arrange an informal meet and greet the night before the event, to kick us off. More details on that soon. I will also submit for CEs, albeit I cannot guarantee them at this time.

Less Is More In relationships, we might think that adding more pressure to the "outside" gets us somewhere. Instead, what if we considered going inside ourselves, to find relief?

Settling in for the EMDRIA Conference in Arlington, VA that starts on Friday. The EMDR Trainer Day pre-conference gig is tomorrow. I'm so excited to get a day before to hit DC again and also connect with my old undergraduate roommate. So grateful for all of the amazing places and experiences that the EquiLateral: The Equine Assisted EMDR Protocol takes me to!

For those of you who are recently trained in DBR, or are perhaps receiving DBR, there has been a newly published FIRST study on and associated article in the European Journal of Psychotraumatology.

The treatment effects are deemed statistically significant AND an increased treatment effect is indicated at 3-month follow-up. There is MUCH we have to learn about the subcortical processing of trauma, but this is a step in the right direction. Please take a look.

I am so so excited that the newest website for my private practice, Dragonfly International Therapy, is up and running! My old site has served me well for the last 15+ years, but www.dragonflyinternationaltherapy.com was in need of a massive reboot, to reflect the full range of intensives, various modalities, and trainings/consultations that I offer. Just finished running my two-day Structural Dissociation Theory Two Day Practicum EMDRIA Approved "Healing the Whole Self Part II: Treating Dissociation In Harmony With EMDR Therapy. I LOVE this course because I get to witness deep, deep, deep healing and learning moments for the therapists that attend. They remember their wholeness, and they get to know parts of themselves that needed to be acknowledged.

Anyone who trains in anything with me knows that I always say that the right group of folks shows up at the right time. This group was no exception.

The synergy in this group, the open hearts, the vulnerability, the personal and professional growth. Sometimes I am just in awe of this work and that I get to experience it as a teacher, and also a perpetual student, myself. So grateful.
