Ok, as of 5pm, SAG-AFTRA voting is over. They count, we wait, we celebrate....whatever we chose. Maaaan, this was tougher than the time I had to choose whether I wanted Chicken or Fish (I chose Fish btw). And that's not a metaphor for yes or no on here so just don't. But I digress. Some people voted YES, some voted NO. Valid points all over the cake. This was really a tough one yo. And here we are. So yeah, proud to be a SAG-AFTRA member. Proud to have marched all those months. THE STRIKE IS OVER!! As of 12:01 last night, it was officially signs down for the SAG-AFTRA strike at all studios in both NYC and LA. We have a tentative deal that still needs to be voted on but for now, WE DID THAT!! We held the line and fought for our careers, our future. Great job everybody!! Love to the WGA, IATSE, all the other unions and people not in the industry who supported us and took the time to understand the waters we swim in. Ok, lets get to work!!

Mini SAG-AFTRA strike rally today with the students at LACHSA (LOS ANGELES COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL FOR THE ARTS) . Some of the parents of the students decided to hold a rally and involve the kids so they brought in T Shirts, Very used studio strike Signs and buttons for them to wear and march with. Since the High School is on the Cal State LA campus that's where we marched, across the campus, thru the courtyard and back at the school. Kaden Rossman who I've known since he was the age of 5 is a student so without hesitation, I had to roll up. And I couldn't be more proud of Kaden and all the students there for doing this.

So much respect for these kids who showed up and completely understand the assignment, what is happening, what's at stake and how it directly affects their future. And they made it clear that their future is not to be messed with and they are against all that the AMPTP is attempting and they support the daily strikes that are still happening.

So yeah, shoutout to these incredible kids. We got Day 113 of this strike. Now, you know, when the kids get involved.....ON THEIR LUNCH BREAK, you know you messed up AMPTP. Quit playing these games, quit trying to kill our careers, pay us what we are worth, RESPECT us and what we do and how we do it and let's get back to work. Enough is enough but hey, you wanna keep acting ashy, we can keep getting out strike on. Watchu gonna do? ONE DAY LONGER, ONE DAY STRONGER. AS LONG AS IT TAKES!!

*Been in this game for a long ass time like myself, we're striking for ALL OF US. We didn't come this far (from our days in Community Theatre to Co Star, Guest Star, Recurring and Series Regular) just to come this far.

Regardless, we out here and we in this until we don't have to anymore. Talks resume on Monday, October 2nd. Keeping it positive that this will be over much sooner than later.

shoutout to the Unions and the people throughout history and leading up to today who spoke up, walked out, marched, and fought to demand what is equal and fair, fought against greed and corruption, fought for civil and equal rights, fought as allies even if you’re not in our unions, fought for us today and for the next generation aka the future. I’m honored to be a Union man and to once again fight on the right side of history. No matter how long it takes, we will win this!!

Ron Cephas Jones was emblematic of black excellence, full stop. A true actor on stage and screen. Personally, I was not only blessed to witness his work on stage in Clyde’s in New York but also work with this brilliant thespian on for 3 seasons. Every time on set was a master class watching Ron work and filming with him. He was a very generous actor who recognized everyone equally and their importance to the show, whether they had all the lines, some of the lines, a couple of lines or none of the lines. And of course, Ron was just cool as hell to talk to. I’ll always cherish our many conversations while chillin’ in our holding area waiting to shoot. A class act thru and thru. Love, light and a peaceful journey and thank you brotha Ron for your gift. I’m really gonna miss you man.
