Late post lol. But it was so nice attending the Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Masquerade Tea this past weekend hosted by Sister Circle NC! Emceed by the lovely Valentina Wilson! Pink is my favorite color so I had stars in my eyes seeing so much pink in one setting! So happy to be a witness & support to those who have survived & those still fighting breast cancer 💓💞🩷

It was a bright & shinning day around the station today! I love when my coworkers show up wearing the same colors as me! The beautiful Valentina Wilson & our director Stew decided to be stars as well! 🌟 💛 It went well with that beautiful Eastern North Carolina weather that Les Still-WCTI gave us!

BREAKING NEWS! 🚨 R. I.P to my breakfast. It lasted a wonderful two bites before deciding to check outta here. Happy Monday though 🥲😕😒

Had a great time with the crew down at the The North Carolina Seafood Festival! 🦞 My first one in the books & certainly won’t be my last! Got to interview Chef Keith Rhodes from Wilmington. He’s been featured on Bravo TV & Top Chef. He also has a restaurant called Catch in Wilmington! He made a delicious seafood chowder that was a crowd pleaser! It was great to see all you viewers out there today! See ya bright & early on-air in the morning! ❤️☺️

It’s National Taco Day! 🌮 So, of course had to get these at work from the Nacho Shack! And look who I saw Tyler Hardin! Morning side & night side only mix & mingle when food is involved! 😂. What do you all like on your tacos?! Also, which is the best? Breakfast, lunch/dinner or dessert tacos?!

In the words of Jack Harlow - “I’m not no fashionista, but I’m fly though!” But seriously, I love a bright & colorful outfit on this cloudy day! Hope everyone has a great one! 🩷💜

Look who took over our studio today! That would be the one & only Deputy Drifter! 🐶 He’s a K9 therapy dog with the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office! He has the ability to connect with children in court to seniors in retirement homes! We absolutely loved having him on our show this morning! I’ll have a full story coming up tonight for our ENC Hero segment! 🥰❤️

Spent the afternoon in Vanceboro at Vanceboro Farm Life Elementary School helping one of my neighbors paint her classroom for the kiddos to head back to school in a few weeks! It was fun & relaxing until the paint fumes kicked in 😩🎨. She also invited me to speak to her class when school starts! I can’t wait! Moriah loves the kids! ❤️❤️❤️

Notice anything new? Well Brian North WCTI surely did this morning - as he liked to point out to the viewers lol. But yes, I’ve brought back my braids! Something I grew up wearing for many, many years! I’ve gotten so many lovely comments from viewers this morning! Thank you so much ❤️. I appreciate them!

It’s Military Appreciation Month! WCTI NewsChannel 12 is partnering with the USO & Navy Federal Credit Unions to collect essential items for service members in our “Bags for the Brave” drive! When you’re at the store pick up something to help support them! Fan favorites are fruit snacks & chips! The drive runs all month long! USO members will put the items together into care packages & send them to deployed service members! You can drop off items at the participating Navy Federal Credit Union locations over on our website wcti12.com!

Super late post…. but it was fun showing 5th graders from Roanoke Rapids, NC a day at the station last week! Me & Grant Carlton WCTI gave them a tour of the station, & they even sat in studio & watched the noon newscast live! It’s always an honor & pleasure to share knowledge with the youth & answer questions about being in the news business! It’s only my hope that some of these youngsters will want to take over someday! ❤️👏🏾

Did you guys miss me?! Because I missed you! I know Brian North WCTI has been bored without me & Les Still-WCTI! The gang all back together on this lovely Tuesday morning! 💚 After a few days off, I’m happy to be back!

Apparently, according to Brian North WCTI I look like pollen! I think he’s just a hater 😂. Les Still-WCTI can’t wear green because he’ll blend in with the weather wall, so I’ll be sure to give him plenty of pinches! ☘️ Happy St. Patty’s Day! Be safe out there if you’re going out to celebrate! Police are increasing patrols to crack down on drunk driving!

Had a great weekend checking out ENC! Took a trip to the NC Aquarium 🐟 & checked out Atlantic Beach! 🏖️ Finished up having a great dinner at Cypress Hall! 🥘 So far I’m loving the area!

On today’s episode of Moriah is so clumsy… I spilled hot tea on my hand during commercial break! Also while trying to scarf down my breakfast, a potato went down the wrong tube & I had a choking fit! Lol. I’m off to a wonderful start! 😃

Meteorologist Les Still-WCTI said it would be a cold weekend! 🥶 That’s why I busted out one of my favorite recipes! It’s the copycat Zuppa Toscana soup from Olive Garden! It’s so easy to make & absolutely delicious! 🤪😋

They say Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall… well it was my breakfast that had a great fall! I took one bite, & it ended up on the floor! It’s safe to say I’m very sad about this because I’m starving during the morning shows! Guess I’ll just have to fill up on coffee during the coffee break instead! 🙃😭

We’re bringing the sunshine this morning with yellow! Grant Carlton WCTI It comes with the real sunshine this week, too! Brian North WCTI missed the memo & wore orange so we left him out the picture 😂.

Decided to come for a walk at Martin Marietta Park, but failed to read the close at 5pm sign! Guess who’s locked in?! 😭🙃 Don’t worry, officers are on their way, however, next time I’ll be more cautious! I did get some great sunset pics!!

Slept in until 5am today guys! See, it does get better 😌😂.
