Realtors, if your client is being quoted and pre-approved with an online lender, do them and yourself a favor and push to have them talk to a local lender! This client was being offered a 5.5% rate on a 30yr Fixed… After I spoke to the client and questioned the validity of this offer is when he called and that lender told him “the cost is 3.9 points for that rate”!!

This is the epitome of bait and switch and misleading clients which unfortunately online lenders are well known for! Do better by being better!
