It’s that time of year when getting dark early means more cycling time. Not hating it! Fueled by raspberry lemonade 😋

The bridge was thrilling and beautiful, but the underwater mile was a different, unexpected kind of special (even if my quads disagree).

Making the best of a brief break from running to make sure my hamstrings are tip top for next week’s marathon.

This kid had his first race where he got lost on the course and added 5 minutes onto his mile lol. It’s all part of being a runner! He finished smiling and that’s what it’s about.

There’s something so cathartic about prepping veggies to cook. My son is oddly impressed by knife skills, so I’ve been thinly slicing everything this week. 😂

Find you a running community that keeps you smiling through 6 hours of running, even when over half of that’s in the rain. Never thought I’d be so happy after 28 miles.

Funny how running makes me really stop and enjoy the beauty around me. Stoked about getting back to running at sunset and bathing in those delicious golden hour rays.

8 miles after yesterday’s 23 miles. Dead. Legs. The only thing that kept me going was . I mixed Kona cola and fruit punch and *chef’s kiss* highly recommend.

What’s better than a neighborhood run with friends? Discovering an urban garden on your street that sells fresh veggies at the end! I stocked up for the week!

We did a thing this weekend and spontaneously ran a 25K trail race. Actually beat our time from the last one we actually trained for! How? Running smart intervals, good nutrition and hydration, strength training, and cross training with cycling when running wasn’t possible. Running with cool people also helps!

These wonderful humans have been a saving grace this last year and change. More than running buddies, more than neighbors; this is my support group.

Where are my skater grrls at? Can’t wait to spend more of my spring and summer on my skates again!
