One of our favorite lines from a cult classic (The Fifth Element) really gets to the heart of our first section. We’ll be using Time as the measurement for the life of many different things: How do bitters affect the Life of a batched cocktail? Can alcoholic fortification increase the Lifespan of vermouth? How much Time can pass before espresso can no longer breathe Life into a martini? 8 hours? 24 hours? 36 hours? …let’s find out on October 4th!

We all have supposed rules that have been handed down through generations of Lead Bartenders, Bar Managers, and Beverage Directors about the little things that make or break a cocktail, batch, or event. This class is the epistemology of some of those questions and the cocktail practices we hold so dear. "The bitters will bloom", "Don't batch the vermouth", "There are 41 dashes in an oz," etc. etc.
We invite you to challenge some of these truths, as well as put your individual opinions against peers in your own city, and cities around the country. Join us for a chance to decide what really matters while tasting through the most celebrated Canadian whisky portfolio in the world.
