The United Center Joint Venture, hospitality partners Levy and Heisler Hospitality announce the opening of a new full-service restaurant at the United Center. Queenie’s Supper Club, a riff on the classic Midwestern supper club, will open to the public September 2018.
The United Center, Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks share a history that traces back to Arthur Wirtz, the forefather of the Chicago Stadium. Always by his side was his wife and greatest supporter, Virginia “Queenie” Wirtz. Virginia, a true matriarch of the Chicago Stadium, could always be seen presiding over her guests with grace, elegance and a welcoming smile. In the spirit of Virginia, the United Center welcomes their guests to Queenie’s Supper Club and Cocktails as they look to embrace a new generation of fans and guests. Focusing on approachable food, prompt and friendly Midwestern hospitality, Queenie’s was designed to provide exceptional service in a warm and inviting space that pays homage to the styles of the past with a modern twist for today’s diners.
At Queenie’s, upscale dining begins with scratch made cocktails and quintessential relish trays while you peruse the menu. Heisler Executive Chef Dan Snowden’s (Bad Hunter) menu features a variety of supper club fare from the thick roasted cuts of Prime Rib and table side Caesar Salads to the iconic Fried Walleye, Broasted Chicken, Bacon Wrapped Scallops and Whole Roasted Trout Almondine. While the dishes will be instantly familiar by name, Snowden’s inventive interpretations and conscious sourcing of ingredients will create a new sense of excitement for classic Midwestern cuisine.
