Jennah’s Helping Hands

I came from a small country town where you hardly seen anybody in desperate need. Once I moved to Chicago, IL I came across my first homeless person. I started to notice myself crying and feeling helpless, I sat in the car thinking to myself how I have a warm place to lay my head and food to place on my table for me and my family. These thoughts and feelings crushed my heart so much that I decided I could not just go home and do NOTHING. After long decisions and discussions, a group of wonderful ladies (that now make up our board members) started to buy items to help supply the homeless with and getting our organization license we are on the way to help make a difference. We decided to not just focus on the homeless but to also extend our warm hearts to those in shelters and just in general the community. Our dream is to grow big enough to help as many as we can, even by volunteering as different hospitals, shelters, and other organizations. We are excited to have our first bake sale come spring time. We look forward to having each and every one of your support and encouragement as we grow to become a better organization but it takes YOU to help make a difference with us.
