Today we welcome Shandon Herft to our Chicago Studio! As an intern at , Shandon will collaborate with our team on several of our current projects while completing his studies at Illinois Institute of Technology.

We had our first construction site visit today on the Gateway Apartments in Miami Gardens! Part of a new wave of development for the city, the project centers around an existing lake, with the buildings positioned within lush landscape to maximize views and encourage outdoor activities.

This weekend our very own, Natalie Lao, graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology with Bachelor of Architecture and Minor in Environmental Engineering.
We are so very proud of her and we are excited to have her with us full time as the newest member of our growing team! Natalie, we are looking forward to achieve great things together and have fun along the way!

We are excited to announce that the R3 Towers were unanimously approved by the Fort Lauderdale Planning and Zoning board 🎉 This news comes after the city approved the relocation of the century-old African Raintree on the 2.42-acre site. The tree will become the focal point of the next phase of the Riverwalk with a public walkway between R3 Towers and will lead to a destination experience with public art, restaurants, water features, an amphitheater, and a dock with a potential water taxi stop 🚤🌴

PALMA, alongside CYMBAL DLT Companies and Stephanie Toothaker, are excited to announce the Fort Lauderdale City Commission approved the relocation of a century-old African Raintree to the Fort Lauderdale Riverwalk. KEITH has created an active public space for the preservation and celebration of this highly treasured feature in the local community. Environmental Design, the group behind the relocation of the “Survivor Tree” at the 9/11 Memorial has been tasked with the move of the tree assisted by arborist Jeff Shimonski. With this successful approval, the tree will become the focal point of the next phase of the Riverwalk with a public walkway between R3 Towers and will lead to a destination experience with public art, restaurants, water features, an amphitheater, and a dock with a potential water taxi stop.

We are excited to welcome our new Architectural Designer, Alessandro Pupillo. Born in Milan, Alessandro was drawn to architecture at an early age after experiencing the cultures and landscapes of Italy and traveling around Europe. After graduating from Florida Atlantic University, Alessandro moved to Fort Lauderdale where he is currently based, and working on becoming a licensed architect in the state of Florida.

It is a pleasure to announce that Riad Wehbi, Assoc. AIA, LEED GA. has joined our team as an Architectural Designer. With a Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Riad has a diverse portfolio of award-winning projects. Fluent in both English and Arabic, Riad’s passion for human-centered design stems from his travels around the world.

We are excited to welcome our new Architectural Intern, Natalie Lao! Natalie is in her final year at Illinois Institute of Technology studying Architecture and Environmental Engineering. During her time at IIT, Natalie has focused on 3D modeling, graphics, and animation. Outside of architecture, she has also studied climate change law and policy, water waste management, and air pollution.
