Co-directed by founder Caleb Beck and Kaitlyn Albrecht, baby blue is a member of the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA).
Looking for parent/artists for studio visits in an upcoming project! For the past two years Kaitlyn has been working on a Masters in Arts Administration, with her thesis focusing on community-based resources for parent/artists. We’re making a move to include this interest in Baby Blue.

Coming Soon: Marcelo Eli Sarmiento presents a new body of paintings and ink-on-paper studies, in which he expresses
a “joie de vivre" by looking at Pre-Colombian motherhood and his own relationships. This is the first time Marcelo has exhibited work about these themes of the matriarch and partnership. In this suite of paintings, he also confronts the classical European subject of mother and child. Marcelo takes on these subjects to speak on the nurturing nature of gratitude. The understanding that with effort, happiness can be reached by appreciating what we already have in our lives.

Hope to see you tomorrow at the opening of Everything was Forever! The reception will be from 3-6 PM, so it’s a great starting show if you plan on Saturday gallery hopping. The show is a solo exhibition of work by Marina Ross .
The show features a series of sequential oil paintings with sourced imagery from The Wizard of Oz. Grieving the loss of her two-year old son Rafi, the artist studies the impact of trauma on identity through the lens of the iconic protagonist Dorothy Gale, played by Judy Garland. The paintings dissolve the boundaries of the images to reconfigure the memory and identity of Dorothy. Using digital projection of the source material, Marina transforms the original technicolor film stills through a painterly approach, to heighten the sense of color and touch. Serial paintings of a singular image command the audience to interrogate and contemplate the image of Garland’s performance.
Thank you The Visualist!

Saturdays 1-4pm and by appointment
Avery Booth and Madeline Olson present assemblages of fragments that are as haphazardly constructed as they are logically positioned. Lovely Vision likens the encountering of barely worn lace at an estate sale to the feeling of finding a delicate leaf on the ground. Dioramas of varying dimensions frame the artists’ treasured remnants and serve as humble armatures to support dingy projections of beauty. The found object and textile adorned compositions are sparsely exhibited, recalling an experience of coming across something precious and placing it somewhere to be seen.
