In 1986, a group of committed parents and Montessori educators opened Brickton Montessori School as an educational alternative that presents learning as a joyful, exciting process. The school of two staff members and four children opened that summer in the basement of a local church and by August moved into a portion of a local public elementary school. Brickton expanded to five classrooms in its
August 17th is National Non-Profit Day. It's a day to recognize the contributions of nonprofit staff and volunteers while highlighting the importance of supporting their efforts through donations, volunteering or any other form of assistance.
Brickton Montessori School's Board of Directors held our annual fall retreat today to support our efforts toward fundraising for our new building and re-imagining our mission and vision statements.

Brickton students and staff enjoyed the awesome sight of the eclipse this afternoon and also got to take advantage of extra outdoor time to run around and have some fun with children from several grade levels.
What better way to celebrate Leap Day than our inaugural Feed the Frogs Day at Brickton Montessori School!!! All day long, we'll be sharing content from our community. Be sure to stay tuned this afternoon when we reveal the winning name for our mascot in our Name That Frog contest!!! 🐸🐸🐸
