KERRY FARMS SECURES ILLINOIS EPA GRANT, ENHANCES FOCUS ON CLEAN ENERGY AND ADVANCES MEDICINAL CANNABIS

Winfield, IL - Kerry Farms, an innovative leader in the cultivation and production of federally legal medicinal h**p and cannabis products in Illinois, is excited to announce its successful bid as one of the recipients of a substantial $12.6 million grant from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This grant aims to facilitate the expansion of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure throughout the state, which perfectly aligns with Kerry Farms' enduring commitment to sustainable energy and creating high tech jobs within the clean energy and medicinal cannabis industries.

Happy 4/20 everyone! 🌿🎉 In the past year, Kerry Farms has been making significant efforts to support cannabis issues and education. We're proud to have made multiple contributions to the cannabis industry.

Last April, when .county realized it had failed to collect over $4 million in taxes from cannabis sales, Kerry Farms capitalized on that oversight and led a campaign to un-ban cannabis in unincorporated .county . This was significant because , the seat of the county board, had banned from 1887 to 1985. was the only county in Illinois to ban cannabis. On June 28th, the ban was lifted in a 13-5 vote and we are proud to have been part of this legislative victory.

In addition, we worked closely with the local community college to host a h**p and harvest day. This event was so successful that it led to approval of a full-time cannabis program starting fall 2023!

We believe in the power of education and advocacy to bring about positive change in the cannabis industry, and we are committed to continuing our efforts to support this cause.

.county passed the cannabis amendments to allow for our company to apply for and operate a dispensary and craft grow THC license in illinois. This is following the lifting of the cannabis ban in .county on June 28th of this past year. This could not have been achieved without huge effort from multiple county board members but especially and they turned an accounting mistake into a masterclass on how to move a bipartisan amendment through local government. Sheila and Liz visited our farm and Brian took our calls on weekends. We are very thankful for their incredible support.
