Usually defined as happiness (authentic vs. temporary) and commonly known through the Yoga Sutra, the term ‘sukha’ सुख has various meanings upon examining its roots. Su = “good, fine”. Kha = “state”. So a more literal translation of sukha is “Good State”. But kha can also mean “space”, so su-kha can signify “happy space” or “good space”.
**What is the Ayurvedic approach and perspectives on establishing Sukha/good space in one’s body, mind, spirit, soul through daily habits/living?
**What is the role of ghee in establishing sukham?
In this session, Dr. Ramadas will explore these questions through one of the key causative factors of imbalances and dis-eases - Pragyaparadha.
‘Pragya’ means intelligence or wisdom and ‘Aparadha’ means an offense. Thus, pragyaparadha means an offense against wisdom.
When a person’s dhi धी (ability to comprehend), dhriti धृति (controlling power), and smriti स्मृति (power to recall memories) get impaired, one acts against one's own best interests of wellbeing and living highest potential.
Sukha / “good space” (an emptiness beyond form) - which helps to create contentment and healing, where harmony becomes a matter of our perspective and is no longer dependent on outer circumstances alone - is disrupted by pragyaparadha
Join us in this soulful conversation on the role of ghee in inner and outer Sukham.

Why is ghee is the Maha sneha or ultimate lubricant and cleanser for the body, mind, spirit? How to use it n correct ways?
Since thousands of years the ancient science of Ayurveda has been describing the values of using Ghrita or ghee made form cow milk. Ghee is used as daily food ingredient for cooking as well as as medicine and as a vehicle to carry medicine to right tissues in the body. The most authentic method to make the ghee from cow milk and further medicate it with herbs to enhance its qualities is described in Ayurvedic texts along with its applications in various ailments.
