I'm excited to share our recent paper "Impact of atopic dermatitis lesion locations and extent on patient burden: A real‐world study."

What do the study results mean?
"AD impacts all body areas. Greater number of lesion locations are related to more severe disease and poor disease control. Regardless of number of lesion locations, patients experience substantial disease burden and need effective therapies to manage AD."

I'm excited to share our recent paper "Impact of atopic dermatitis lesion locations and extent on patient burden". There are some neat findings in here, I think.

Conclusion:"In our cohort of real‐world patients with AD, lesions were most often present on the arms and lower limbs, and more than half of the patients reported ≥4 areas with AD lesions. An increase in the number of lesion locations corresponded with severe disease burden and poor disease control."

Transcutaneous Sensitization: The Real Skinny on Food-based Emollients and Skincare Products - The Dermatology Digest 03/18/2024

Excited to share our recent paper: "Transcutaneous Sensitization: The Real Skinny on Food-based Emollients and Skincare Products."

This came about from some insightful clinical questions: given that we know you can develop allergies from food antigens going through damaged skin, where does that leave moisturizers that have foods like oatmeal and coconut in them?

Key point:
"Coconut, wheat, sunflower, and oat-based products are commonly recommended for patients with compromised skin. Given that the risk of transcutaneous sensitization from these food-based or food-derived products is clinically very low, providers should feel comfortable suggesting these products to patients outside of those with existing allergies to the ingredients."
