First all school mass was a success. We inducted a new round of peer ministers as well as honored and named the junior of the year finalist with Conner Stack '25 being named official junior of the year. Congratulations to all, let's have a great year.

The Alumni Softball League wrapped up its 51st season a few weeks ago. For the 3rd consecutive year, the championship ends on a walk-off, as Team Josie takes home their first-ever championship. Thank you to everyone involved, we love having alumni back on campus.

Father James Donovan stopped by today to see his old friend Parker and the rest of the Mt. Sion program. Father Donovan was instrumental in the creation of the Mt. Sion program here at Brother Rice using his experience from St. Barnabas.

Today in Mr. Prunckle's class Crusaders learned how to greet each other with a firm handshake and eye contact. This of course was all built around a rock paper scissors contest that may or may not have caused a noise complaint from the deans office down the hall.

The application for HFS Scholars for the class of 2029 are now open to current 8th graders. Founded in 1993, HFS Chicago Scholars helps economically disadvantaged Chicago high school students flourish in and out of the classroom.
