First Snowfall ❄️ ⛄️ of the year!
City Councilor Shane Brooks states nothing but :
“An individual’s Character is created over a lifetime, not over a few months.”
“John’s respect for his family, faith, and community, is inherent to the foundation of who he is as a person and a leader. John Vieau is the only candidate qualified to be the mayor of the great city of Chicopee.”
John gives of himself, quietly and behind the scenes, since he was a young man, because he loves Chicopee.
Not because he wants more for himself, because he wants more for us all.
For Chicopee. For Chicopee. For Chicopee.

Hey Chicopee! Did you Know?
Mayor Vieau is the first mayor so committed to ensuring that his office be welcoming to all, that he created a new position?
The Community Constituent Liaison position was established, that it must be bi-lingual to assist the ELP residents, for those with English language challenges.
Those barriers have now been RESOLVED!
Please meet Chloe Soto and Monica Torres, the first Latina professionals in the Mayor’s office to fulfill those rolls and more!
We are fortunate that the Mayor is wholeheartedly dedicated to the community and worked to make this a reality.
Who remembers crossing this bridge? 😳🧐💡🌉
On April 19th, Chicopee Bridge opened, reconnecting West Springfield and Chicopee. The bridge replaced the 1848 Chicopee Bridge, which burned down in 1903. William W. McClench was the first to cross the bridge, taking his son David with him. Lewis F. Carr then followed him with an automobile party. In addition, William's father, Joseph, had been the first to cross the old Chicopee Bridge when it opened in 1848. R.F. Hawkins Iron Works was contracted to build the bridge, which came to a cost of $124,940.
The bridge was demolished in the late 80s.
