City of Chula Vista Human Relations Commission
It was a profound privilege to represent the Human Relations Commission as the Emcee of the Juneteenth Flag Raising event at City Hall. May Malcolm X's words, 'It's freedom for everybody or freedom for nobody,' inspire us to continue working towards a world where every individual can live in freedom and dignity.
Join us in commemorating Juneteenth! 🎉 We're proud to temporarily change our logo to honor the significance of this day. Join us today Monday, June 17 at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall for our Flag Raising Ceremony. 💛❤️💚🖤
Wishing you and your family Happy Easter filled with renewed hope, faith and peace.
You Are Capable of Greatness!

Celeberating
Welcoming Chula Vista
Chula Vista is the first City in the State of California to earn designation as a Certified Welcoming City. This important designation is granted by the non-profit Welcoming America. It is awarded to local governments that meet the rigorous Welcoming Standard requirements for immigrant inclusion.
The City is proud to be one of the cities leading the charge and setting the standard for embracing immigrants and refugees. Chula Vista is located at the center of one of the richest cultural, ethnically diverse, and multilingual communities in the United States. The strength and well-being of the immigrant community is important to residents and leaders of Chula Vista, which is why the City joined the “Welcoming America” network and has applied for Welcoming City Certification.
Joining the Welcoming America and securing Welcoming City designation have put in motion a new approach to develop and implement a program for better communication of City policies and services to the immigrant community and provide a framework for considering how to acknowledge and address the immigrant experience in Chula Vista.
