Congratulations to Architects and designers Reich+Petch on their ARIDO award for design of the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, Deep Time gallery. Kudos also to Design and Production for the excellent construction of this wonderful design. We are proud to announce that the Valley House Flats project has won the Green Building of the Year Award: Homes, presented by the US Green Building Council Indiana this past month. This award recognizes buildings that achieved LEED certification in the state of Indiana from October 2019 to October 2021. Per the Indiana USGBC, “These green buildings are the foundation of the communities and cities they reside in and help people live safe, healthy and sustainable lives”. A virtual awards ceremony was held on January 26, 2022 to celebrate this and other projects, as well as to recognize individuals who have served the green building community for their leadership.

The Valley House Flats complex consists of six buildings recognized by the U.S. National Park Service as historically significant. Two of the buildings comprised the Valley House, a noted hotel in the late 1800’s. There are 47 apartment units, including both affordable and market rate units, split between the upper floors of the historic buildings and the new four-story annex building on the west side of the property. The completed project enabled the local family-owned pharmacy to remain in their existing location, and a restaurant is planned for the first floor along Main Street.

Congratulations to the U.S. Army, the Army Historical Foundation and exhibit fabricator, Design & Production Inc., on the grand opening of the new National Museum of the United States Army (NMUSA) on of Veteran’s Day 2020!

This brand new museum in Fort Belvoir, Virginia is the result of many years of effort. NMUSA honors those Army soldiers who have fought and are fighting for America’s freedom and contributed to American society from the American Revolution until the present. RSL is proud to have worked for Design & Production to coordinate and detail many exhibit elements including exhibit partitions, hanging missiles and helicopters, speaker rings, display cases, the Army Concourse and other elements. Favorite RSL detailed pieces are the Soldier’s Story Pylons at the entrance and the WW1 immersion theater with angled trenches, glass bridge and curved movie screen.

We are very proud to finally say that Historic Valley House Flats is officially open!

The 47-unit apartment complex had the ribbon cutting and grand opening on Friday, Oct. 9!

RSL worked with Modern Real Estate Sales to help save the historic Valley House buildings from the endangered list. Consisting of both affordable and market rate apartments conveniently split between the upper floors of the original buildings and the brand new 4 story annex building built on the west side of the property, the charm of the 1800's was preserved and given new life in the town of Brookville, Indiana.

We are very proud of the completed Guardians CU in West Palm Beach, FL, and want to say thank you to credit union design and construction expert, DEI Incorporated, for our continued partnership.

The existing 10,000 square foot office space was renovated and a modern, 5,400 square foot addition housing a new customer service branch was constructed to compliment it! The addition and renovation were combined into one unified facility in function and appearance.

RSL had the privilege of working with Modern Real Estate Sales to renovate the historic Valley House Flats in Brookville, IN.

Valley House Valley House - Brookville, IN

Congratulation to Financial Center Federal Credit Union (FCU) on their new, beautiful, state-of-the-art facility in Komoko, IN.

This brand new, 1-story building features a clerestory entry, drive-thru service area, and 900 square foot learning center. We want to express our thanks to our long time partner DEI, Incorporated, a credit union design and construction expert for our continued relationship.

We had fun collaborating on this unusual design as we completed the design development and construction documents.

RSL wants to congratulate Kings Island on their officially reopening to season passholders today (they will reopen to the general public on July 12th)! Extra safety measures have been put in place to ensure the health and wellbeing of all park guests. RSL is proud to have partnered with Cedar Fair on projects at Kings Island in the past, such as Mystic Timbers.

Last week, the National Museum of Natural History’s “David H. Koch Hall of Fossils: Deep Time” received the Special Achievement Award for Visual Engagement from the AAM (American Alliance of Museums).

Congratulations to the designer, Reich and Petch, and the fabricator, Design and Production Inc. (D&P) for a job well done. RSL is proud to have been a part of making this amazing exhibit a reality! RSL detailed numerous elements for this project such as exhibit partitions, specimen platforms, info-rails and table-cases, custom-made benches, and scenic components for our client D&P.

We are happy to partner with Cincinnati Bell on designing and providing construction documents for multiple branch locations. The space needs to provide a focus for the Connected Life gadgets on display. We helped them provide an adaptive space for their different needs by installing a movable partition wall to separate the conference room into two individual meeting spaces.

Congratulations to these successful sisters for what they have accomplished in such a short amount of time. RSL created the space plan and permit drawings for Coveted Boutique in Ft. Mitchell, KY. We are happy to be a part of helping a family owned business expand their retail presence.
