The theme this year is “Architecture for Well-Being”.
We strive to promote health in buildings, cities, and beyond. This is especially evident in our Senior Living projects. When designing a facility, we are future-thinking about the amenities included in the space. We often provide fitness centers, rooftop gardens, libraries, gamerooms, salons, bars, restaurants, and many other spaces that will improve the quality of living.
We always consider maximizing daylight, improving indoor air quality, accessibility, and convenience for the current and future residents.

Modernized, vibrant, Rocky Mountain refresh.
Erected in 1910, this Renaissance Revival high-rise sits on the corner of 7th and Race streets in Cincinnati. Our mission was to revitalize this vacant building, and transform it into a 110-room hotel.
Large expanses of glass, horizontal lines, and contemporary materials were used in the design of the façade of the new five-story over-build. The new mass is integrated into the original composition, but clearly delineated as an addition with its own modern form.

“Preservation is simply having the good sense to hold on to things that are well designed.”
The Rauh House, built in 1938, is one of the first International style modernist homes in the Cincinnati area. The house, which features a long balcony and shaded terrace, tubular steel railings, large windows with minimized corners, and whitewashed cinder block walls, sits on nearly nine acres of gently rolling, wooded land at the western edge of the Village of Woodlawn.
In 2005, the house was sold to a developer who planned to demolish it and subdivide the property. Much of the existing surrounding landscaping was destroyed, and the house was vandalized and left exposed to the elements. Luckily, the development failed, and with the help of , we restored the house to its original state, but with modern mechanical systems and insulation, and custom steel windows to match the originals.

Unifying color palettes and modern art – two great things that 𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 a beautiful space.
“New ideas often need old buildings.”
This four-story hillside expansion project for the Our Lord Christ the King Parish in Mt. Lookout serves as a vital connector between the existing Cardinal Pacelli School, Parish Center, and Church. Creating a marriage between the new building and the existing historical church was one of the most important goals as we worked through the design complexities of the project.
A curved glass entryway establishes independence from the historic structure, while simultaneously exposing as much as the existing church as possible. The new building was constructed of to replicate the 1957 Indiana Limestone finish of the church which helps to achieve a cohesive, unified look.
might be over, but we’re just getting started!
Mid-century flare & Scandinavian simplicity are here to stay (for a while) and we are here for it! 👏
Furnishings at the show were clean and simple with the most fabulous fabrics. We noticed some bold hues like burgundy, ochre, and sage, with hints of lavender occurring across the board. Pairing those colors with timeless natural wood tones and our favorite neutrals – black and white – left us feeling content and inspired.
The Mart was also bursting with a variety of materials that came together to create dynamically balanced design. Diverse finishes like textured woods, polished metals, terrazzos, and felts were perfectly paired and worked in unison to create these very special and memorable spaces.
Thank you for the immersion into current design trends & innovative creations. We left the show feeling inspired & ready to implement everything we absorbed!
A dream come blue. 😉
Materials played a large part of the exterior building design for this law firm and animal hospital duo. The modern and rustic palette creates an approachable and welcoming vibe.
The bold, blue corner mass is the eye-catching entry solution to the two different functions this building houses, and it attracts the attention of both pedestrians and also those arriving by vehicle.
The minimalist canopy structures and large spans of glass create a bright & vibrant experience for all guests upon arrival.
