NCCH is a nonprofit working to provide stable, safe and supportive homes for people with disabilities Houses are customized to meet the needs of each person.
It is the vision of North Coast Community Homes to be a leader in fulfilling the housing needs of individuals with disabilities.
Community based housing enables persons with disabilities to live as part of a community and neighborhood. Individuals go to work, enjoy leisure time at their home, socialize and are involved in community events.

Join the Special Olympics Ohio Fitness Challenge for a chance to win a Stanley Style Cup and a SOOH Fitness Shirt!
This fitness challenge begins on August 26th and will end on October 6th. You will track and submit your minutes of exercise and ounces of water weekly. You will also receive weekly emails that include fitness tips and a leaderboard! The person with the highest total minutes of exercise and ounces of water at the end of the challenge will win the Stanley Style Cup and Fitness Shirt!

July is Disability Pride Month! The Arc of Ohio families represent a wide range of intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Disability Pride flag has five diagonal stripes of different colors on a black background, and each color represents a different type of disability:
Red: Physical disabilities
Gold: Neurodivergence
White: Invisible and undiagnosed disabilities
Blue: Psychiatric disabilities, including mental illness, anxiety, and depression
Green: Sensory disabilities, including the blind, deaf, and deaf-blind communities

The nine-month City Advocates program "helps participants gain a deeper understanding of and greater appreciation for the community’s strengths, challenges and how to become part of solutions that drive change," Downtown Cleveland Inc. said in the class announcement on Wednesday, April 10.

Our Story
North Coast Community Homes was established in 1984 to develop and maintain safe, comfortable and affordable housing for people with mental retardation and developmental disabilities in Cuyahoga County, OH in partnership with the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities. It is now also providing housing in Lake and Stark counties and in Summit County for people with severe mental illness.
