Community Bed Build for Kids in Need
Give yourself the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of serving others in need while making an incredible impact in your community and Lorain County. Join Good Knights of Lorain County at a monthly bed build. Volunteers sand, saw, assemble, stain, and drill out the final head boards. Linen bags are also assembled in preparation for deliveries. Volunteering with Y.O.U. gives you the opportunity to assist students in critical thinking of their work experience, transferable skills, and helping to make their resumes as marketable as possible. Boost student's confidence through mock interviews, or be a guest speaker and talk about your entrepreneurial experience, financial literacy, technology, or any topic that can enhance the student's experience as they prepare for the world of work. Fall Harvest Weekends Volunteers Needed!
Most harvesting takes place in September and October, and Lake Metroparks Farmpark demonstrates how it's done! Many volunteers are needed during the Fall Harvest Weekends. Roles may include: greeters, help with soup demonstrations, apple butter making, food samples, crafts, or making popcorn.

Join Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio and volunteers from the Mission Continues to support the LeBron James Club in Akron for a Done-in-a-Day event where multiple projects will be started and completed. The Akron Pride Festival returns to downtown Akron THIS WEEKEND with a variety of volunteer opportunities available. Volunteer activities are available throughout the day at different time slots throughout the weekend: assist at the 5K race Friday evening, run games and inflatables at the Children's Area, sell merchandise at the Merch Tent, team up to keep the festival footprint free of trash, and more. Grab a group of your co-workers, family, or friends, and help Fresh Air Camp breakdown camp and prepare supplies for storage. This involves packaging supplies and moving them to several staging areas in preparation for movers to load them into moving vans. To celebrate Earth Day, Brook Watershed Partnership is hosting a series of cleanup events in both the Dugway Brook and Doan Brook watersheds. Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities Empower Pop-ups are fun and focused on people with developmental disabilities learning something new. Volunteers help with Try-It activities in sports, fitness, art or music; self-advocacy activities, and employment advocacy.
