OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES

Cleveland Pride(SM) will achieve our mission statement by educating institutions, industries and the general public; sponsor educational forums, awareness discussions, informational displays, supportive gatherings, other related organized events, and an annual rally, parade and festival. These will be accomplished by facilitating a financial model to fund and maintain an endowment through obtaining grants, conducting fundraisers, and promoting donation campaigns.

We've never forgotten that the first Pride was a riot.

This year marks 50 years since the Stonewall Riots in New York City. We've accomplished so much as a community since those two fateful days, but our work is far from done.

Instead of a traditional parade, Pride in the CLE kicks off with a march of protest, honoring past struggles and focusing on the fights we have ahead of us. We're marching to continue and center the work done by so many of our community members and allies to achieve justice, safety, and fairness.

Please join us in this resistance this year. The march is open to everyone. Registration is optional, we recommend registering to reserve a group spot for folks who would like to march with their employers or groups. Cars and floats are not permitted, and the city prohibits demonstrators from carrying signs attached to sticks.

Meet us in the staging area between 11am and noon on Saturday, June first. At noon, we'll march together. When we arrive in Public Square, we'll celebrate. Register for the march here: https://lgbtcleveland.org/pride-2019-march/
