Keeping your personal data safe on the internet is becoming increasingly important and necessary for those seeking abortion care. Be aware of how you utilize apps like period trackers, fitness trackers, and other apps, and think twice about the language you are using on social media.
Phrases such as “I’m looking for somewhere to go camping” and “My home is open to those who want to camp” are no longer safe. Before offering help on the internet and putting yourself and others at risk, make sure your online data is safe and make sure you’re working with already existing abortion funds and networks.
The National Network of Abortion Funds is an excellent resource for those looking to utilize an abortion fund in their area and for those looking to donate or connect with an abortion fund in their area. Learn more at https://abortionfunds.org
The time for change was decades ago when Black women and mamas were being forcibly sterilized. The time for change was when states began finding ways to circumvent Roe v. Wade, even when abortion was legal. The time for change has passed. Now is the time for transformation. For innovation. For respect.
The status quo did not serve us before the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, and it isn’t serving us now. Join the Reproductive Justice movement and demand a future where Racial Justice, Gender Justice, and Environmental Justice join to ensure the holistic health and wellbeing of Black women, girls, and gender-expansive folx. http://ow.ly/Kfcs50JRKyH
Thank you to Governor Tom Wolf for signing an Executive Order today that further protects the right to an abortion in the state of Pennsylvania. Not only does it protect Pennsylvania citizens, it also protects those traveling from other states to receive healthcare. We applaud Governor Tom Wolf for this excellent step in the right direction. New Voices will continue to fight to ensure that abortion access remains safe and legal and accessible in Pennsylvania.
If Black women and birthing individuals in Ohio find themselves in need of abortion care and need to travel into Pennsylvania, our Justice Fund now offers grants to cover travel costs and procedure costs. Learn more and apply today at https://newvoicesrj.org/sayhernamejusticefund

Being forced to leave your home state to receive healthcare is an act of state-sanctioned violence. The Justice Fund was created to combat all forms of gender-based and state-sanctioned violence, which is why we expanded it to include funds for abortion care and travel. Grants are reviewed on a rolling basis, so apply or share today at http://ow.ly/uFrg50JRKf4
Vice President Kamala Harris sat down with Keke Palmer for the ESSENCE Festival of Culture this week. While we applaud VP Harris for being outspoken about the drastic overreach of the Supreme Court, additional action is required. Being outspoken is no longer enough – abortion access MUST be codified into law at the federal level to protect and save lives.

While their constituents slept, the Pennsylvania State Senate met at midnight on Friday, July 8 to pass Senate Bill 106 which contains two amendments to the Pennsylvania Constitution, the first proposing that there is no constitutional right to tax-payer funded abortion and the second proposing there is no right to any abortion, paving the way for criminalization.
These covert government proceedings should tell Pennsylvanians what Black women and gender-expansive folx have known for decades: the government often cleaves to the ideals of sexism and white supremacy to hoard power and preserve the status quo.

A 10-year old r**e victim in Ohio had JUST missed the archaic 6-week deadline to receive an abortion in her home state and was forced to travel to Indiana to receive care. Yet further proof that abortion restrictions harm those with the least power THE MOST.
Ohio's 6-week abortion ban is basically a total abortion ban! "Heartbeat Bills" are cruel and oppressive scams; the majority of people don't even know they are pregnant within the first 6 weeks.
This particular child was fortunate enough to have the resources and the support network to leave the state to receive care. Many other children will not be nearly as fortunate. Their mental and physical health shouldn't be political pawns.
New Voices for Reproductive Justice is working IN Ohio to help pregnant people receive the care they need because we recognize what's happening is gender-based, state-sponsored violence. If you or someone you know is in Ohio has experienced violence, they can apply to the Justice Fund now at https://newvoicesrj.org/sayhernamejusticefund

There is no celebration for a country where women and birthing individuals are stripped of their bodily autonomy, where Black pregnant individuals die at a rate of three to four times higher than their white peers, where entire communities do not have access to clean water, air or safe and affordable housing, and where the state sanctions murder and violence against Black bodies. The time to organize and uplift and fight back is now. Join us at https://newvoicesrj.org

Black women, girls, and gender-expansive people who are victims of gender-based and state-sanctioned violence are often silenced and left to deal with their own mental, emotional, and physical trauma.
The Justice Fund aims to support these individuals. Grants from the Justice Fund can be used to pay for mental health services, funeral costs, rent payments, and abortion care access.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, Roe was never enough. Legality is not enough when it comes at the price of access and affordability and safety. Maintaining Roe v Wade would have been the bare minimum and, now, with the Supreme Court decision, New Voices is dedicated to fighting for abortion access beyond one court case. Join the movement today at https://secure.actblue.com/donate/newvoicesrjsaveroe
