We would like to thank James Troyer who made a generous donation of $250.00 in Miss Joanne's name. Joanne Callan was so wonderful and we will hopefully see a lot of you Saturday!

Joanne Callan was a dear friend and long time facilitator at JAH. Her art therapy especially the last few months really brought the women a lot of joy. I myself recall listening to her tell stories of her past in California. She would share photo's and chain smoke and she treated every single human being on this earth exactly the same. I loved that about her. We will miss you Joanne. Peace✌️🌼

As most of you know, we recently lost our angel, Miss Karen, to cancer. She was a beloved member of our household and sisterhood, and we will miss her dearly. Whether she was her usual self, full of sass and spitfire, or the ever-patient and kind ear that listened to problems large and small, she may be gone... but the memories we each made with her will always remain. We know she is watching over us now, reunited with her late husband whom she loved so dearly. 🩷💜💛

We got some sun, and had some fun. Thank you Maria and the Old Brooklyn Community Development Corporation For all that you do! This was last week I'm a little late we've been busy!!!

What are you doing in April for stress awareness? The ladies here are incorporating art therapy, meditation, and new books about positive goal-setting/reaching into daily groups. Stress management + AA = One Day at a Time 🌳🧘 🦋

The ladies had an incredible experience watching the solar eclipse today at Lowe Park and finished the evening with pizza and a house Big Book Study led by Michelle Medlik! 📘🩵☀️

In preparation for Easter we had a craft day and used Cool Whip to make rainbow swirl Easter Eggs with Miss Joann! 🐰🪺🌸We're waiting until tomorrow to turn them into deviled eggs for our Sunday afternoon feast!

Wow!!! 🤩 Thank you so much to Angie Rocco who came by to treat the ladies to a professional manicure! 💅 Feeling beautiful inside and out is an amazing step in recovery. We are so grateful for her skills and time 💕💕

Thank you to everyone who came together to celebrate Bridgett and her success at the Julie Adams House! We will all miss her dearly, but it's wonderful how the road of recovery brings angels along from unexpected places, in this case, Missouri! We love you!!!

We had a great time celebrating Safely Home to Serenity's anniversary party! This meeting is a home group to some of us at and is always a place we can share openly and learn. Thank you to the women who started this Big Book group more than 20 years ago!!
