Itās been way way way way way too long since Iāve done one of these cleanses and Iām NEVER going this long again.
Itās so easy to fall off track with cleansing and just general clean eating when life pulls you in too many directions. Especially once youāre feeling good again and being more social.
And itās way too easy to keep making poor choices when processed food is on every corner and at every social gathering.
I got burned out having to make my own food for every place we went, so I quit. It was enjoyable for awhileā¦. Until symptoms started coming back. It was slow at first, so I thought no big deal and kept choosing the easy options until the scales tipped.
Pretty soon I was getting sick with EVERY cold and flu that came through town. Seriously every month for 8 months straight. Now it was even harder to get back on track because I never felt good.
Iām so happy that I had a change in my workload so I could have a more balanced life right now and re-commit to cleansing. Iām only on day 3 and I can FEEL it!
If youāve gone off track and arenāt feeling your best, I encourage you to try to make the time for your health, because even though itās āhardā work in the kitchen sometimes, that hard is much easier than feeling like garbage the rest of your life ā¤ļø
Iām really enjoying great mangos again!!! They were not good last year and Iāve missed them. I love pairing mango with a berry for a sweet and sour kick!

Iām getting closer to figuring out camping!
Healing takes work. You canāt just throw a pack of hot dogs, chips, and cereal in the camper and go.
When I bring lettuce, cucumbers, and berries camping they end up freezing. Itās been very frustrating.
We finally bought an electric cooler and itās a game changer! Iām so happy we made this investment. I can now have salads and juices when I camp!
Itās produce washing day!
Some days I love it and it feels super empowering knowing everything is washed for the week.
Other days I dread it because Iām too busy with other things.
Whether I love or hate it, I know that if it doesnāt get done then Iām not eating very well for the week.
What things do you have to do each week to make sure you stay on track with your goals?
This was my counter 5 days ago. I finally got the āhitā to do an advance 369 cleanse again, and the only way this works for me is to prep as much as I can ahead of time.
We wash all the produce before it goes in the fridge and I set up all the powders for the detox smoothie so itās quick each day.
Spoiler alert, this is really the only way Iāve found to stay consistent with any habit you want to implement - be prepared!
That could be scheduling in grocery shopping, meal prepping once or twice a week, or even making some meals/sauces ahead of time so when youāre busy living your life you donāt have the excuse of āI donāt have enough time each dayā

Today we kept it simple with burgers (meat or veggie to your preference), broccoli salad, and green beans with seasoned potatoes.
I steam the green beans and potatoes first, then add about a Tbsp of vegan butter so the ranch seasoning sticks to them. Then roast for 15 minutes on 425. I adjust that depending on how well cooked they are from steaming.

Day one of the 28 day cleanse - for the third time š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
The first attempt I wasnāt really committed or ready and made it to day 2. The second time I was committed and made it to day 12ā¦. What happened you ask?
Life.
And thatās totally fine because I already feel so much better by making that 12 day commitment.
To be perfectly honest I might never complete the full 28 day cleanse as written, but every time I start over it still helps because Iām being in soooooo many raw meals filled with fruit, greens, herbs, and veggies.
What if I did 6-7 days of cleanse meals, then āmessed upā with a little rice or something for 1-2 days, and then right back to 6-7 days of cleanse meals? And I did that the rest of my life? Would it really matter that I couldnāt make a full 28 days in a row?
I have a feeling that Iād be doing just fine. I also feel like after awhile Iād probably be able to make it the 28 days because this way of eating has become my new normal.
Keep this in mind when you run out of bananas or papaya in the middle of your cleanse, or you end up working a 14 hour day unexpectedly, or a family member gets sick and demands more of your time and you end up going off track.
Itās not the end of the world. Just keep doing what you canā¦. The compassion towards yourself is just as important as what youāre actually eating as you move towards more healing foods on a regular basis.
When you look back after months or even years of trying to do better, you will be amazed at what your new normal looks like compared to your past. Every step gets you closer to healing. Keep fueling that bodyā¦. Compassionately!
This was last nights salad for I think day 7 or 8 of the 28 day cleanse. It took me an hour to eat it!!!
Iām not gonna lie, I only enjoyed the first 3/4 of that thing. The bowl is 12ā across and about 3ā deep. Itās a BIG salad. My belly didnāt have room for all of it, but I kept eating because I was hungry. Salad doesnāt have a lot of calories when you take off the cheese, fatty dressing, and meats.
It is naturally filled with less calories, which means you have to eat a LARGE amount to feel satisfiedā¦. But my stomach didnāt have room for it all.
After going all raw the past two days, I decided Iām going to shrink the salad size and keep having some steamed potatoes for at least another week. It is still the 28 day cleanse, but the modified versionā¦ which is still very helpful!
That is the best thing about information, you can customize it. There are sooooo many options to meet you where you are. You do what you can and keep adding things as you need to. It is truly the only information that has ever moved the needle on my chronic pain, headaches, fatigue, and so much more.

Pomegranate apple juice is my favorite!!!! Fits right into my 28 day cleanse for a refreshing afternoon drink.
Day two dinner of 28 day cleanseā¦ potato and asparagus salad.
Note that the full version of this cleanse is 100% raw foods, but Iām modifying the first week with some cooked options from the book to ease into it as well as to use up some potatoes I still had.
I actually think Iād like this better if I just ate the salad plain and had the potatoes separate afterwards, but thatās the best part of the 28 day cleanse. You can change it up a little to meet your preferences.
Iāll be back tomorrow with more (unless I eat a repeat meal, then Iāll wait until I have a new one to share).
Got day one of the 28 day cleanse in the books (again). I went off track with it yesterday and started over today.
This is banana lettuce boats with ācaramelā sauce from first book (revised and expanded edition). I didnāt add the raisins.
Well I āmessed upā the 28 day cleanse yesterday with rice and a little chicken.
Who cares? It was only the second day and Iāve been feeling run down, so I choose convenience in the moment.
The little bit I ate doesnāt just cancel out the lemon water, celery juice, detox smoothie, fruit and salad I ate before that and today I feel a little better and got back on track.
Iāve done several 369 cleanses in the past, but went WAY off track during the past 2 years and decided I needed to do a cleanse with more freedom to get back on track. This is why I choose the 28 day cleanse.
It might seem āharderā because itās longer, but for me itās just what I need because it has more flexibility.
This is why I love the information. You can customize it to where you are. If you want real information to change your life, I strongly recommend getting any of his books you are drawn to, then just take it one step at a time!

Diced mango
Red onion
Tomato
Cilantro
Lime juice
This is a sign that you should consider doing a cleanse or increasing the amount of fresh fruit and leafy greens you consume.

Sometimes a girl needs a break and just wants someone to wash a bunch of produce and put it on a plate for her to enjoy.
It reminds me of when I was a kid and my mom would cut up the apples or watermelon for us. It was so nice to have the work done for you.
Now Iām the mom, and we canāt just order pizza, so I want to know why canāt I just order this???
