Thank you, Betty Settlemeyer, for establishing an endowment for the Texas Aggie Rodeo Team in honor of its former student president, Laramie Wedemeyer ’23!

This gift is an effort to support the team and provide excellent facilities for future rodeo athletes to attend Texas A&M while obtaining a degree and competing on an acclaimed team.

Inspired by her granddaughter's passion for rodeo, Betty Settlemeyer established an endowment for the Texas Aggie Rodeo Team.

Today, we are celebrating the one year anniversary of the TAMU Dept. of Hospitality, Hotel Management and Tourism!

In the last year, the department has met its initial goal by bringing in new faculty with a wide range of professional and scholarly experience, adding new undergraduate degree tracks, increasing internship opportunities and building new relationships across industries in which graduates will build careers.

We are excited to see what the next year and many after will hold for this department!
