Congratulations to Dr. Beverly Irby for being named the 2024 Educator of the Year by the Texas Council of Professors of Educational Administration (TCPEA)! This award recognizes her contributions to educational leadership and her commitment to shaping future leaders in Texas.
Dr. Karen Rambo-Hernandez has been appointed Interim Head of our Department of Teaching, Learning and Culture (TLAC). She has been an Associate Professor at CEHD since 2019, and her research includes assessing educational interventions to improve STEM education.

Thanks to everyone who attended our Open House for the Becky Gates and Charlotte Sharp Children's Centers. We shared how the centers benefit families in Aggieland while our grad students showed their early childhood development and education research.
Dr. William Rupley, who has dedicated over 50 years to advancing literacy, has been elected to the Reading Hall of Fame. This honor reflects his significant contributions in research, leadership, and the preparation of future leaders in the field. Rupley is the second faculty member of our College to earn this honor. Dr. R. Malatesha Joshi entered in 2021.
Our Department of Kinesiology and Sport Management is partnering with Texas A&M Athletics this semester to offer students unique insights into sports, leadership and self-improvement.
Dr. Mark LaSota and Men's Basketball Coach Buzz Williams intertwine elements of psychology, education and management so that students can discover their leadership styles while focusing on self-improvement by identifying and overcoming any biases or shortcomings within that style.๐
Director of Texas A&M Athletics Trev Alberts joins Dr. Gregg Bennett to enhance students' understanding of the scope and power of sports throughout business and our society.
