C.C. Pinckney 2nd-grade students are taking ownership of their learning by setting personal academic goals for reading, math, and writing. The students were tasked with answering the following:
What is my goal?
Where am I now?
What steps do I need to take to reach my goals?
Students recorded their commitment to their academic goals by writing them down and sharing them during a whole group class discussion.
Let's keep our students safe!

C.C. Pinckney Elementary 6th Grade students challenged the staff to an end of the year basketball game. Both teams faught valiantly, though the Staff's wisdom and height helped them secure a 33-15 win over the 6th Grade team. Fun was had by all and the spectators filled the gymnasium with cheers hoping to spur their team onto victory. 🏀

In C.C. Pinckney's 5th grade, students used a light source and a sphere to simulate an Earth-Moon-Sun system. They observed the sequence of changes with the moon and learned about the four specific and intermediate phases. What a great lesson to make connections to the 2024 eclipse! 🌛
Teachers, as Teacher Appreciation Week comes to a close, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to our students. 👩🏫👨🏫
Our wonderful PTA put up banners and provided delicious treats that made the week super special: Krispy Kreme doughnuts, coffee, blueberry crumble muffins, Honey Baked Ham box lunch, pizza, and sipper cups filled with snacks.
🍎 Thank you, CCP PTA, for making Teacher Appreciation Week a memorable one!🌟
It’s National School Nurse Day. Nurses care for the entire school population, especially the most vulnerable, playing an essential role in keeping all students in school, healthy, safe, and ready to learn.
A special thank you to our Nurse Rodgers for taking such great care of all of us! 🩺
C.C. Pinckney's 4th-grade students were tasked with designing and building a scaled digging tool in Science. Students tested their models to expose design flaws and adjusted them accordingly.
Teacher Appreciation Week runs Monday, May 6, to Friday, May 10. The idea for a week to honor teachers began more than 70 years ago with first lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Teachers selflessly dedicate their lives to educating and shaping our future generations. The National Parent Teacher Association has deemed this year's theme "Teachers are Shining Stars." THANK YOU CCP Teachers for SHINING extra bright! Department of Defense Education Activity
