U.S. Army Sgt. Conner Reed, from Charleston, S.C. and Spc. Jonah Ritter, from Walterboro, S.C., Bravo Company, 1-118th Infantry Battalion, 218th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, South Carolina National Guard, assisted civilian emergency response agencies with high water rescue operations in Dorchester, South Carolina, Aug. 10, 2024. U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 1050th Transportation Battalion, 59th Troop Command, South Carolina National Guard, mobilized in support of Florida’s request for assistance through the Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC) process, in anticipation of tropical storm Debby from Varnville, South Carolina, Aug. 4, 2024. U.S. Soldiers assigned to the 4th Combined Arms Battalion (CAB), 118th Infantry Regiment, 218th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, South Carolina Army National Guard, conducted crew gunnery training with the newly fielded Abrams M1A2 System Enhancement Packages (SEPs) Main Battle Tank (MBT) Version 3 (V3). The gunnery was conducted during the 4th CAB’s annual training at Fort Stewart, Georgia. The fielding of the Abrams M1A2 SEP V3 MBT to the 4th CAB started in last fall and continued through phases of crew familiarization and gunnery preparation training.
