Sesquicentennial State Park, situated in the middle of the Sandhills region, features a beautiful 30-acre lake surrounded by trails and picnic areas.
Friends of Sesqui State Park has been formed to help preserve, protect and publicize the park in Northeast Richland, where urbanization has surrounded Sesqui’s once-rural 1,419 acres. The park’s proximity to downtown Columbia and interstate highways attracts both local residents and travelers. Here’s an easy way to help Sesqui State Park!
Due to the intense lightening storm yesterday, the Splash Pad at Sesqui was knocked out of commission. The park staff are working with techicians to get it fixed as soon as possible.

In 2011 South Carolina State Parks became responsible for their own day-to-day operational costs.
Friends of Sesqui nonprofit fundraising is critical to the park for this reason.
