As we come to an end of National Foster Care Month, here are a few ideas to care for a child in foster care if you're unable to become a CASA volunteer or a foster parent at this time...
🔴 Mentor a teen
🔵 Provide respite care
🔴 Assemble welcome boxes for a nonprofit
🔵 Attend or sponsor a CASA event
🔴 Donate a suitcase or duffle bag
🔵 Raise funds or make a donation to CASA
🔴 Educate and advocate

Anna Smith, Client Care Program Coordinator was this month's speaker at the Shelby County Children's Policy Council. Thank you to CPC for inviting Second Shift to present information about our programs and the youth we serve.
Thank you Shelby Baptist Association for hosting this month’s CPC meeting!! Our CPC members and attendees were able to learn about all the ministries, services and resources offered by the SBA to children and families in our community. We concluded the meeting with a tour the Ministry Center and brand new Mobile Dental Clinic!
