Hii!♥️ A couple things! They’re important! FIRST: THANK YOU for this past weekend. The Jamboree was a KILLER community night. You showed up big time! I Like It Like That is open!! I am honored to have been a part of this incredible project, having helped with the interior decor & plants. Working with the past few years has always been a treat, but this project in particular is really special. 🌞🌒 The historical total solar eclipse is happening on 04/08 and I’m so freakin excited! Some areas around Columbus are in the path of totality - including Powell, Dublin, and Worthington (they’ve even cancelled school in many districts that day!) Starting Monday 02/26 we have FREE eclipse glasses in the shop, no purchase necessary! These are artist-made here in Ohio, and a really fun little souvenir to mark the event 🌞 Limited quantities so grab them soon! ♥️

IT’S TIME!!! Ahhhh THE BRASS HOUSE bed & breakfast is now officially open for reservations! 🌵Link in bio! This is a special part of my house – a private studio apartment in the lower level. I’ve obsessively worked on every detail for the past three years. Every single piece of furniture and art is vintage or handmade. It’s a midcentury & nature lover’s dream, overlooking a ravine on the Olentangy Watershed.
 
Over the past three years, I’ve tried to make this 1970s Worthington house a hub for creativity—hosting everything from vintage markets to chef’s tasting dinners and live music. Importantly, I don’t charge any fees for the use of the house for creative events. My vision is to provide an accessible and unique space where creatives can express themselves and build a vibrant community.
 
The BnB will enable me to extend the house to the community even further with an exciting development on the horizon: the creation of an artist-in-residency program. Proceeds from the BnB will support this program!
 
Stay tuned as we develop the program, envisioning a space where artists will take residency in the BnB, receive funding, and nurture their creativity during an extended stay. The residency will culminate in an artist’s gallery event in the main portion of the house, welcoming the community to view and acquire the artist’s work.

TINY BIOACTIVE TERRARIUM WORKSHOP!!🥹🌳🐜 Link in bio!

If you’ve visited The Brass Hand, you know we love tiny objects! That’s why we are so excited to host our first Bioactive Tiny Terrarium Workshop, taught by our lovable shop assistant Caitlin!

What makes our terrariums so special? All the materials used in the workshop (including cushion and palm tree moss) are sustainably grown and harvested in the Pacific Northwest. And to kick off your tiny new ecosystem, all terrariums will come with their own little roly poly (aka: Armadillidiidae) as a natural, year-round groundskeeper. You’ll also have your choice of tiny creatures including cows, mushrooms and Bigfoot! Our Tiny Terrariums will include the basics: substrate for drainage, and soil perfectly curated for this high-moisture environment.

Workshop attendees will also receive 10% off to use on all shop merchandise, including all of our vintage goods, plants, and local art.
