So thank you for all the advice and replies that you will be there. Let me explain some shortcomings we have found. We are a 501C3 non profit. We strive to keep our events family friendly and make them enjoyable for children and families in the hopes we provide opportunities that a lot of kids don't have the guidance or mentorship to experience. Saying that, is the reasoning behind the 10 fish limit hoping our participating kids would enjoy the opportunity to get their fish weighed, but given the fact most all participants will be bank fishing we are changing the team limit to five. It will be a live weight weigh in and release.

This is our first venture into a tournament, we are open and welcome ideas, and suggestions. We will have hiccups but we will overcome. Thank you to all!!

The mission of the Guardians of the Children (GOC) is to recognize and react to child abuse and educate the public to do the same; to serve as advocates to protect provide strength and stability to families in crisis; and be an answer to the prayer of an abused child or teen for courage, support and protection.

DO:
-remain calm
-believe the child
-allow the child to talk
-show interest and concern
-reassure and support the child
-take action and REPORT!

IT COULD SAVE A CHILD'S LIFE

DON'T:
-panic or over-react
-press the child to talk
-promise anything you can't control
-confront the offender
-blame or minimize the child's feelings
-overwhelm the child with questions
