Northtowne students and faculty took part in a “Black History Month” celebration by dressing up as African American historical figures and providing exciting information about each famous historian. The program was created by faculty and staff members Ce’ Nedra Weaver, Malissa Rogers, and Hope Hughes. Our proud Northtowne families filled the gym in support of our students! It was an incredibly powerful event!

Meteorologist McKenna King from NBC4 visited second grade students at Northtowne Elementary School this morning.

REMINDER: tomorrow, Wednesday, March 29, is a Records Day on the traditional calendar. Schools will be closed for students. Woodcrest Elementary, on the year-round calendar, remains on intersession through April 6.

NEWS: due to inclement weather, all CCS classes and extracurricular activities are cancelled today, Wednesday, January 25.

The Ohio PBIS Network and State Support Team designated CCS as the recipient of the Ohio PBIS District Award for 2021-2022 for its district-wide implementation of PBIS; additionally, 48 CCS buildings were recognized as model schools.

Staff v 5th grade annual kickball game was today! A hard fought game with the NTES staff winning 15-3. A great start to the end of the school year activities. Tomorrow, field day and Thursday the annual picnic.

We love our 5th grade class and can’t wait to see them do amazing things.
