Last week I had the opportunity to speak to several Lucas High School government students. I always enjoy meeting constituents who visit the Statehouse.

Recently I attended the redesignation ceremony at the 179th. I enjoyed meeting Hal and Norma Kahl. Hal joined the 179th in 1950, two years after it opened
This morning I visited the Richland County Fair and had the opportunity to speak to Junior Fair Board member Kendra Walp. If you haven’t yet had the chance, be sure to visit the fair this week!

RCDG Selected as Part of Microsoft’s National TechSpark Program to Grow Economic Opportunity in Richland County MANSFIELD – Richland Community Development Group (RCDG) announced today that it will be working with Microsoft TechSpark to foster inclusive economic opportunity, job creation, and innovation in Richland County.
Last night I went to Country Concert 2023 with several of my colleagues to promote Issue 1. I am supporting Issue 1 because our state’s governing document shouldn’t be used to enact policies by interest groups. It is time we protect our constitution!

Today is Flag Day. One of the bills we are working on is HB 87 which would require that State and local governments to only purchase flags made in the United States.
Yesterday I attended the open house for the Akron Children’s Hospital Mansfield Behavioral Health campus. This project received state capital funds we appropriated last year HB 687. I know this will have a positive impact on our area for years to come!
Memorial Day, originally known as Decoration Day, began just after the Civil War, honoring those in the armed forces who died while serving the United States. Congress made Memorial Day a federal holiday in 1971 to honor those lost in all wars. Let us never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can remain free.
It’s great to see LeaderRichland return after the pandemic. Thanks to everyone who helped make this a success!
Yesterday I enjoyed speaking to students from Richland County and across the state at the school choice rally on the Statehouse lawn. It was great to see so many students civically engaged!
