❗️IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT❗️
With greyhound racing ceasing operations throughout much of the United States and our inability to obtain dogs on a consistent basis, we have made the difficult decision to stop taking new applications for the foreseeable future. We will still work to fulfill the open applications we currently have, as well as remain available to support current adopters with advice, information, rehoming, and any other needs. Should dogs become available for which we cannot find homes, we will re-open applications for those specific dogs.
Thank you all for your generosity and support over the years.

WE ARE again accepting new applications to adopt but caution that so few dogs are coming in to our retirement program that you could have a long wait of several weeks to months. We will be screening for the needs of several current foster hounds who have specific challenges like anxiety or medical care, or small animal safety or training and exercise requirements for their forever home. They are looking for families with experience, patience, leadership knowledge, time for play and exercise on a good routine.
Unfortunately, most ex-racing greyhounds cannot go into foster homes with small animals like cats because the adoption kennels at racetracks are no longer testing for small animal compatibility before hauling them to Ohio. Therefore we only need foster homes without any small animals. This is adding to our delays in adoptions.
Thank you for your patience as we work through these challenging times. Rest assured, we are still hard at work for these retiring racers!!!
Hooray for Rosie (Cracklin Rosie) who has been adopted by the Provenzano Family. Rosie broke her leg racing and it was surgically repaired through the Ohio State 4 Legs 4 Hounds Greyhound Program.
