IMPACT Community Action
Our mission is to fight poverty by providing hope-inspiring help and real opportunities for self-sufficiency.
This past Saturday, July 20th, three IMPACT staff members from the Climate Justice Initiatives Department attended the inaugural Linden Community Day Festival. Our CJI department had the opportunity to educate residents on how extreme weather impacts their financial security and personal health, as well as how they can live more sustainably!
This past week, IMPACT Community Action CEO Bo Chilton was in Boston for an incredible experience at the Harvard Kennedy School of Executive Education! He participated in Fifth Third Bank’s Empowering Community Leaders program, designed to help build capacity and strategic leadership among nonprofits.
ECL provides nonprofit leaders with lessons in leadership development, technical skills and specialized certifications that enable access to resources and knowledge necessary to achieve great community outcomes. Bo left feeling inspired and ready to make an even greater impact!
Our IMPACT litter league is ‘hitting a home run’ for our environment by reducing litter and promoting a cleaner, healthier community! Over the past two cleanups, our team collected 24 bags of trash!
IMPACT youth services took rising senior Anna to Dress for Success! With the help of a personal stylist she chose six outfits, complete with shoes, bags, and jewelry. Anna is now well-prepared for interviews and school visits, feeling grateful for her new items!

Today we got to celebrate our Momentum Class #6! It was an amazing day to honor those who, for the past 3 weeks, have been actively transforming their lives and career trajectories! Congratulations to our grads!
