This bony white open-work domed form is shaped like an
overturned shallow bowl. Rib-like fingers extend down from a curved spine
across the top of the sculpture. The “ribs” are connected along the outer ends,
leaving oval openings between them. Areas around some of the openings are
tinged with turquoise blue and pale red. A mass of thin wires hangs down below
the form.

"Above all else, let love be your legacy." -Jennie Wright, double lung recipient

Our gratitude goes out to all who joined us last Saturday to dedicate ArtWorks' new masterpiece "The Courage to Give," completed in partnership with LifeCenter!

Designed by Jeni Jenkins, "The Courage to Give" celebrates the impact that organ donation has for individuals in the community, borrowing inspiration from depictions of community members and their personal stories. Throughout the mural, viewers can see elements of life, renewal, and the interconnectedness of humanity, ultimately encouraging our community to register as organ, eye, and tissue donors.

Special shout out to Pones for the inspiring dance performance and to fenbury for their support.

This artwork was painted by a team of 12 youth Apprentices (ages 14–21) under the guidance of Lead Teaching Artist Michael Thompson and Teaching Artist Yordy Cabrera Garcia.

You can pay this mural a visit at 933 Lincoln Avenue in Walnut Hills.

Here is an ad created by Art Possible Ohio the ad features artwork by AEO 24' artist Kevin Kurre and Steve Edinger Kevin's work is on the right side of page you will see a vase constructed of slab circles in jewel tones of turquoiseblue, yellow, orange, green, dark blue and purple alternate with coils outlined in black. The top edge of the vase is dark blue, and the thick base is bright red. The bottom row of circles also has three circles in white, pink, and dark blue, made from coiled clay and as you look at Steve's piece you will see a rectangular box forms the body of this long necked, wooden instrument. The neck is three times as long as the body and is made from a thick, rounded piece of wood. The headstock (at the top end of the neck, where the tuning pegs are) has a slit carved down its center. The wood on either side of the opening is carved into long, thin shapes with oval tips that resemble bunny ears. The frets are made from thin wire wrapped horizontally and spaced at intervals along the neck. Wide bands of shiny orange copper wrap around the bottom of the neck where it joins the box as well as the ends of the rounded
wooden tailpiece that holds the three strings in place. Chicken wire fills the large
circular sound hole the top of the page says CALL FOR ART and the bottom reads Accessible Expressions Ohio Applications open: Sept 1st

The right door is pink and paneled in three sections. The upper two panels are a brilliant yellow, as are the windowpanes of the window on the wall to the right. The corner itself is bathed in a yellow-orange light. The window on the right wall is set within a deep frame of rich magenta.
