If you have ever seen Dr. Kelley, you have most likely met Kelly. She has been by his side the whole time, working passionately and diligently. Her kindness is contagious, and our office is truly a better place when she’s here. We are so grateful for all she does and continues to do for our practice!

Hi everyone! Unfortunately, our Arena District office building has lost all power and is not estimated be back on until 4:30. So, we have closed for the day and will call our patients back tomorrow to get rescheduled. We appreciate your understanding!

We would like to welcome Dr. Dalton Kincaid to our practice!

Dr. Kincaid completed his undergrad from the Ohio State University with a bachelors degree in Spanish. During this time he did a semester abroad in Chile and a semester in Mexico. While earning his doctorate in Optometry from Nova Southeastern University, he also completed enough credits to be rewarded a second bachelors degree in Vision Science.

Immediately following graduation in May of 2022, Dr. Kincaid began his year-long residency in ocular disease with an emphasis in cornea and contact lenses at Columbus Ophthalmology Associates, where he saw upwards of 3,400 patients.

And prior to joining Arena Eye Surgeons, he worked at another private practice. Dr. Kincaid’s clinical interests are peri-operative ocular care, dry eye disease management, and speciality contact lenses.

Some fun facts about Dr. Kincaid:
• His educational background has made him fluent in spanish, which is an incredibly helpful tool for our spanish-speaking patients!
• He and his partner, Dominic, have a dog, Rudy, 🐶 and a cat, Kitty!🐱
• In his free time he enjoys exercising, playing video games, and trying new restaurants.

Happy Boss’s Day!

We are celebrating multiple anniversaries! 🎉

On Saturday, Dr. Kirkland celebrated 10 years and Cindi celebrated 4 years with AES! And today is Brittany’s 4 year anniversary!

Dr. Kirkland joined our practice back in 2013. She is a board certified cataract and glaucoma specialist, and continues to grow her practice - changing the lives of individuals with her gift. She was recently honored in Columbus Monthly’s Top Doctors edition for 2022 and 2023 and received an Exceptional Women in Medicine Distinction from Castle Connolly in 2022!

Cindi is one of our wonderful ophthalmic technicians at our Columbus office. She works (primarily) with Dr. Kirkland and Dr. Pappa on glaucoma and cataract patients. She prepares the patient for the doctor - going over their paperwork, updating their medication list, administers drops and ointments, checks eye pressure, performs OCT testing, and much more. We are so thankful for all she does for the AES!

And last, but certainly not least - Brittany celebrates 4 years with us today! She is the Delaware office manager. She pretty much runs the show over there, keeping everything flowing smoothly, and is our go-to for Delaware and Marion referrals and event planning! We appreciate all her hard work and dedication, and look forward to seeing what she has in store next for AES Delaware!

Congratulations, Dr. Bowers on the recent wedding! Him and his new bride, Kelly, were together for a little over 5 years before tying the knot 💍. Fun fact - they actually met through the dating app Hinge, right here in Columbus. They enjoyed their honeymoon in beautiful Aruba before settling into their new home in Upper Arlington. We are so happy for the newlyweds! 💒

Happy birthday, Dr. Lembach! 🎈

Dr. Lembach has been with Arena Eye Surgeons for over 15 years. Her areas of expertise are refractive cataract surgery, dry eye disease, and corneal disorders. She also currently serves on the Quality Assurance Board at the Central Ohio Lions Eye Bank and has served on the Accreditation Board as an inspector for the Eye Bank Association of America.

We appreciate all you have done and continue to do for the practice! We hope you enjoy your day 😊

Happy 1 Year Anniversary, Jenna 🥳

Jenna is one of our back desk receptionists at our Columbus location, as well as our Marketing Coordinator (Hi, I’ve been the voice behind these social media posts since March! If you’re wondering if it feels strange talking about myself in the 3rd person, the answer is yes. Let’s just roll with it 🤷🏻‍♀️).
She works on scheduling/rescheduling appointments, contacting retina offices to schedule, handling patient financials, sorting and scanning faxes & creating and posting content on social media, designing and distributing physical marketing materials, updating and maintaining our websites, and visiting referring Optometrists offices.

It’s been amazing working here for the past year, and I look forward to growing alongside Arena and expanding my skill-set over the next several years!

A few facts about myself: My 1 year-old niece, Harper, is my whole world, I love going to concerts and thrifting, and I lived in Nashville last summer and now travel back there every few months to visit my friends and favorite spots! 🪕

Danielle is one of our Communication Coordinators at the Columbus office! When you call in, she is one of three people you have the pleasure of speaking with. Danielle diligently works on scheduling and rescheduling appointments and is also in charge of organizing and accessing patient medical records. We are very happy she is a part of our team!

Some fun facts about her: She has 2 guinea pigs and a dog, loves to listen to music, read, and paddle-board, and her and her husband plan to go on Caribbean cruise soon! 🛳️

Happy 34th Anniversary with Arena Eye Surgeons, Lisa! 🎊

Lisa is Dr. Pappa’s lead technician, and our longest devoted employee. There really are no words to describe Lisa’s contribution to our practice. She has put in her 10,000 hours here, and continues to show up everyday willing and ready to work. She is a teacher, a leader, an inspiration. We appreciate her dedication to Arena, and truly would not be the same without her.

A few fun facts about Lisa: She likes to travel to Colorado and the beach, she enjoys walking in the park, and loves spending time with her family (including her work family 💛😉).

We are sad to say today is Catherine’s last day (which also means summer is somehow almost over…. how is that possible).
Catherine joined our team this summer to gain some experience as an ophthalmic technician before returning to Cincinnati for her senior year of undergrad! She is studying health sciences on a pre-optometry track and minoring in chemistry and psychology. She has been a joy to work with these last few months. There’s always a spot for her here at Arena ☺️

We enjoyed some cookies as a lil send off. 🍪

Happy 2 Anniversary, Dr. Bowers! 😊

Dr. Bowers is the (now, not so new) newest addition to our practice. He continues to work closely with the surgeons for their post-operative appointments, as well as when their patients need new glasses prescriptions. His kind, charismatic personality must show in those quick post-op appointments because patients who are stable after surgery and are released into routine care of an Optometrist are always so happy to continue care with him! He certainly is making his mark here.

He practices at our Columbus office Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays & at the Delaware office Mondays and Wednesdays.

Happy birthday, Amanda! 🎉

Amanda is one of our Ophthalmic Technicians at our Columbus office. She is responsible for stocking and prepping the exam rooms, going over/charting new patient paperwork, performing refractions and pressure checks, and operating the OCT and Pentacam machines. We appreciate her hard work and are happy she is a part of our team 😊

A few fun facts about Amanda: She worked in Optical prior to coming to Arena 👓, she grew up in Florida, she has (almost) 1 year-old son Sebastian, and enjoys hiking and singing🎤.

Danielle took the Columbus staff out to the Clippers game last night for team bonding! It was such a wonderful night ⚾️

Happy 1 Year Anniversary, Allison! 🥳

Ali is one of our wonderful surgery schedulers at our Columbus office! She works closely with our surgeons and the surgery center on the 5th floor to coordinate times/dates, as well as talking the patient through day-of expectations, answering any questions they may have leading up to the procedure, and performing preliminary measurements (Ascan and Pentacam) needed to determine the best cataract lens choice. This job is challenging and tedious, yet rewarding, and Ali handles it with grace. We are so lucky to have her on our team! 😊

Fun facts about Allison: She has a 1 year old son, her degree is in American Sign Language, and tomorrow she is getting Lasik by our very own Dr. Kelley! 👀
