It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that our friend and colleague Jerrod Rogers, Advanced-EMT and dedicated caregiver, passed away yesterday evening on December 7th 2023. Please keep Jarrod’s family, friends, and colleagues in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

We will continue to update you as information becomes available as we mourn his loss at MedCare and the southern Ohio EMS community.

The Pickerington Methodist Hospital open house was a giant success this past weekend! 🏥

Some of our MedCare folks got the opportunity to see the new facilities and technologies first hand. These included the new labor and delivery suites along with the new DaVinci Device.

“I am a Basic EMT.”

“I have been at Medcare for one and a half years. I started as a Driver before obtaining my EMT.”
 
What is your favorite part of working at our company? What do you enjoy the most?
 
“I really enjoy having good interactions with patients and their families. Patients smiling and laughing during our time together makes me feel like I have a positive impact on them.”
 
What do you think makes our team culture unique?
 
“Every partner plays a role as a team member. No matter the position or role, we are able to collaborate on ideas. Everyone here helps each other grow both professionally and personally.”

What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they would be surprised to find out?

“I have 5 Aces (hole in ones) in disc golf.”

“Scuba diving with sharks.”

MedCare's service area has undergone a dramatic expansion since the founding of the company in 2010. What began as four ALS ambulances initially serving The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, with Ohio Health hospitals Riverside Methodist and Grant Medical Center transitioning over later that year, has expanded to cover much of Central and Southeastern Ohio with an average of fifty units on the road each day averaging around 75,000 completed service requests per year 👀

Attention Medcare Family 👀

MedCare is inviting everyone to not only attend the Circleville Pumpkin Show on Thursday Oct. 19th but also walk/ride with us in the Parade of Bands that evening! We will be have a MICU and Medcare vehicle in attendance 🚑

For those only wanting to participate in the Parade, we typically meet in the Northwest Parking lot of OhioHealth Berger Hospital at 6:00 pm and ride into the show and Parade staging area from there.

For those of you wanting to attend the Show during the day, you can just meet up with the rest of the group in the staging area around 7:30 pm.
