π At the recent COSI Super Science Block Party in Bexley, Bexley City Schools showcased sustainability efforts with two engaging tables! Exchange student Iana S. coordinated a clothing swap, while Maryland 5th grader Isla B. and HS Environmental Club members helped attendees plant biodegradable planters with pollinator seeds. Together, they potted over 100 Zinnias, sunflowers, and marigolds. Attendees also accessed sustainability tips via QR codes linked to a Canva page created by 5th graders. π±πΌ
π This weekβs Champions, we celebrate Cassingham 3rd-graders Miller S. and Sam O. for their everyday kindness! They give up afternoon recess to help art teacher Mr. Pinciotti with tasks like cleaning the art room and assisting younger students. Their generosity truly exemplifies our mission to Demonstrate Kindness. Way to BE, Miller and Sam! π
π Middle School 6th graders from Blayne Garsky's English/Language Arts class recently teamed up with 2nd graders from three Cassingham classes to write stories together. It was a fantastic collaboration and a wonderful learning experience for all! βοΈ
πβ¨ With the help of technology integration coach Bob Keep, Montrose students in Cassidy Schlitter's Kindergarten class "traveled" around the world using Virtual Reality Goggles! Throughout the year, they learned about each continent in their Wit and Wisdom ELA units. This immersive activity allowed them to explore the features and characteristics of each location. π©΅ Special thanks to the Bexley Education Foundation for the VR goggles grant!
πΆ Congratulations to our Middle School choirs for an outstanding weekend of performances at Kings Island! Our 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade choirs and the combined choir delivered beautiful performances.
