ADVOCACY ALERT!
Next week the FY’25 House Interior Appropriations bill will be going to the U.S. House of Representatives, with proposed cuts and amendments that would reduce the NEA’s and NEH’s funding by more than 23%.
Americans for the Arts has put together an Arts Action Center to help you connect with your elected officials. Please take action now and encourage your legislators to oppose these cuts.

Columbus and the entire State of Ohio lost one of its most charismatic leaders yesterday with the passage of Wayne Lawson. Wayne’s brilliant leadership in support of artists and organizations, combined with his political savvy and dedication to cultural exchange, transformed the landscape of the arts – not just in Ohio but around the world. His personal dedication to artists, and the needed civic arts infrastructure, education, leadership development and international exchange made possible so many of the good things happening in Ohio’s creative sector today. Wayne was iconic and he leaves a clear beacon of big ideas and advocacy to guide GCAC in our work every day. His life and legacy will continue to be an inspiration to us all.
