The end of an era

Director Baldree Retiring
After serving the Franklin County Law Library for over a decade, Director Angela Baldree is retiring at the end of October. During her time here, she has steered the library through many changes, she implemented the Brown Bag Lunch Program and the library’s monthly newsletter, extended the library’s collection to include eBooks, migrated the library to a new cataloging system, and reworked the library’s space to include a classroom and small meeting rooms. She managed the library through the unforeseen challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring patrons had access to legal resources during the shutdown and times of decreased revenue.
Those who know Director Baldree are familiar with her love of travel and all things Cleveland. In addition to more travel, she will be taking on a couple of new adventures as part of her retirement. In June, she took over operations for Trillium Publishing, and she recently published her first book, Your Brother, and will be leading book discussions and signings in various locations throughout Ohio and West Virginia.
All of us here are grateful for her devotion to our staff and patrons, and we appreciate her decades of advocacy for county law libraries. Thank you, Angela, and congratulations on a well-deserved retirement!
