Village, I am so excited to be going live tonight!! We will be kicking off the first day of PCOS awareness month in the right way✨
🌸 We will be discussing how my journey helped me heal from PCOS after being diagnosed with PCOS on both of my ovaries
🌸I was told due to how bad my PCOS was I was diagnosed infertile and unable to have children naturally
🌸 How divorcing the medical system was the best thing I could have done for my Womb and my future babies
🌿 TUNE IN or SEND TO SOMEONE WHO MAY REALLY NEED THIS INFORMATION. See you there! 🎉🎉
🗓Put it in your calendar reminders ✨
LRB family🦋
I have been so excited to post this picture!
I was so blessed to be invited by
Dr. Jeimmy Sanchez | who is an amazing Chiropractor, Doula, and Scientist.✨ But not only that she has been such an amazing colleague and friend in this birthing space for me.
So a big thank you to Dr. Jeimmy Sanchez! For being so kind to open up her space and create a healing space where so many different doulas were able to connect and share their stories.
I cannot begin to tell you the feels we all had sharing with one another the passion we have for this work and medicine that we do in the Birth Community!
So excited to continue to work with all of you side by side and to support one another through village! ♥️
✨I completely agree with .
Having the patience and love to learn your body is so imperative to your birth, postpartum, and womb healing journey.
Come back to yourself. We are a resemblance of nature 🦋🌺

A reminder🚩 to all of the heath and wellness caregivers out there, we need caregiving too💞
🦋 HERBAL BLISS TEA BATH 🦋
I was speaking to one of my ✨Virtual Postpartum Clients✨ and we were discussing self care.
Like many of my Mamas and Birthing Parents, self care almost always feels so unreachable and usually doesn’t make it on the PRIORITY LIST between feedings, skin to skin, nutrition, and everything else we need to stay on-top of.
All of which are super important, but like I tell my clients and I will now tell you you are just as important.
Your healing and the care you give to your ✨postpartum body✨ will dictate how you show up on this journey and for baby.
🦋Herbal Bliss Tea Bath🦋 is one of the many tea baths I really love. It rejuvenates, heals, and honors the postpartum body through herbs that are both medicinas caseras💃🏽 and grandmother herbs.
🦋Herbal Bliss Tea Bath🦋 is perfect for spaces after Loss, Giving Birth, Traumatic Birth, Va**nal Bruising or Discomfort due to PH balance.
✨🦋 🔥🔥🔥🔥

🫣😅 It can be like this. But having a Postpartum Doula can make a world of a difference!
Scarily accurate 😳
Every time! ✨😅
Sea Moss can be such an amazing tool during any healing journey or creation journey. A majority of my clients use Sea Moss during the pregnancy and fourth trimester journey. It even becomes a family morning routine since it's great for everyone, including the littles.
Grab some a loved one, for the family, or for your own journey before we are sold out!

Mama Glow - Birthing Upright
Did you know that birthing in a squat position increases the space in the pelvic outlet by 28-30%?
Laboring in an upright position increases the effectiveness of contractions and movement helps to increase the supply of oxygen to the fetus. Birthing upright decreases the incidence of pelvic trauma including tearing or lacerations along the v***a or perineal tissues.
Learning about labor positions during pregnancy can help you practice as you prepare for birth. It’s important to have options.

Big Big Big truth! This one of the things I tell my mamas and birthing people. Birth is part physical and mostly MENTAL.
There is a big surrendering that has to be done. Birth is not about control, but complete faith that you can do this! That your body was created to do this. (Outside of any health issues)
We mostly fear Home Births because we do not trust ourselves.
We do not believe we can actually do this. That fear has gotten to the point where we are now ELECTING c-sections when C-Sections are emergency tools. But still proven to not be the best choice over vaginal birth.
Taking time to sit with yourself daily, connect with your baby, learn your bodies language. Listen✨
You will see the confidence unfold!

You can eat all the f**ken things and it still won't be enough if you're fearful of birth and your body.
🦄
If you think that some tea and dates is what your body needs and nothing else matters, you're going to be in for a big surprise.
🦄
There are LOTS of variables that influence the birth. And let me tell you, dates and teas are hardly it.
🦄
You have to get in there and do the mental work, get educated and prepare for the birth you desire.
🦄
Part of having confidence in your body and baby is having a good understanding of physiological birth and all the f**kery that can disrupt the birth.
🦄
Once you gain confidence in yourself and release fears, THEN you can use other things as complimentary tools instead of using them as a bandaid over a gushing wound.
🦄
When it comes to the benefits of Sea Moss during your pregnancy or postpartum journey you do not want to miss out! I'm so excited that so many of our client's have been sharing their experience and journey. Let us know what you think!
People Are Talking about Our Sea Moss A scoop a day is all you need to keep up with the spring transitions.
Ahhh a beautiful Birth Worker meeting is what you see here! With amazing souls that came to contribute and hold space for the Birthing community. But, especially, the Black and Brown Birthing community. As the number continue to sky rocket for Black birthing bodies dying during or after childbirth from medical negligence, coercion into unnecessary medical interventions, having very few representation in the medical space, policies trumping over the birthing bodies right to informed consent, the right to be trusted enough to be able to say no, and the list goes on and on.
Having conversations with the with these Medical Institutions is extremely VITAL. As they create programs and new ways to regulate the birthworker community, without no true understanding of what we truly do or offer, and neither do seem to care. These conversations need to be of UTTER IMPORTANCE.
As a Birth Doula who pours my being into my career and clients, along with many beautiful souls you see here and around the world, our voices need to be the advocates for our birthing clients in and out of birthing spaces. Their voices matter!
I do hope we start to see some REAL change and REAL community in our Birth Worker spaces here in Charlotte, NC. Not stand for the money that your business can get paid for but for the impact and pivotal change that you can do and will ultimately heal the black and brown birthing community that has been victims for far to long of Western Medicine and Colonization of our sacred spaces!
us and get involved! 🙌🏽

Doulas quietly advocate for our clients to keep their placentas and this is one of the reasons why. When I studied Medical Anthropology, it became clear to me the many things I had blinders on as a “good citizen (or patient)” that did what I was told. Things like formula companies donating and designing nurseries in hospitals, or knowing that King Henry XIV who had a fe**sh of watching his wives give birth on their backs so he had an unobstructed view. We birth like that in the US still today - on our backs in lithotomy position so our OBs have an unobstructed view. Sigh.
Have you questioned these things before? Have you been taught to question or to behave and listen?
Regarding placentas, many cultures for thousands of years have honored this amazing organ after birth. Whether you keep it to ingest, to do birth art, make a salve, or plant it in pachamama, keep your s**t. Honor it. And start asking questions.

Breastsleeping was coined by James McKenna, a sleep expert, and director of the Mother-Baby Behavioral Sleep Laboratory at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. Breastsleeping is not a new concept. Mothers have been nursing their babies in their sleep for centuries. It’s biologically normal for mom and baby to sleep in the same bed. In the 19th-century pediatricians started prompting this idea that babies did not need food or touch during the night. Babies need food and to be touched during the night. It's normal for babies to wake up during the night. It's part of the biological cycle of being a human. It's a survival skill for humans to wake up frequently during the night to check their surroundings; babies do the same thing.

Who else breast sleeps with their baby? 💕✨
Honoring our birthing bodies. Holding space for the sacred temple that holds and nourishes you and baby. The body that has brought forth life deserves to be honored, seen, and heard. Western culture does not honor the birthing body but we must reconnect and not deprive ourselves of what we need.
How do you decolonize within the body?
Think about it? How can you trust a relationship that doesn't trust you? This your birth and you should be trusted enough to make the right decisions for your birth team it shouldn't be done for you.
This is what we are fighting for! They are killing black men on the streets and black women in the hospitals. For all the white allies that are always asking, " what can I do?" Here you go, request from these institutions why are SO many black women dying at the hands of white coats??? Why is it that when a black women asks for help she is not given the necessary care that all birthing bodies deserve!? What is really going on? It is time to rise up and start paving a new way. Because it is at the point where it is no longer safe for black women to birth in hospitals!

Her name was ShaAsia Washington from Brooklyn, NY. She was 26 years old. She went to hospital for high blood pressure only for them to keep her for 2 days without any medicine. She later died while having a c-section. She gave birth to beautiful baby girl Khloe ShaAsia Anne Lopez.

She's why we do what we do. Let's continue this work as apart of her legacy.
