🌟 Feed the Need - November 3rd, 10 AM to 2 PM 🌟
Help us make a difference in Central Arkansas! 🛒💙
How it works:
1️⃣ Stop by one of our participating stores on November 3rd.
2️⃣ Pick up a shopping list from a volunteer.
3️⃣ Buy a few items from the list while you shop.
4️⃣ Hand the items to our volunteers on your way out!
That’s it! 🙌 Your simple act of kindness will help feed over 12,000 people in our community over the next year.
Help us reach 100 shares so we can give everyone in our community the chance to make a difference 💙

How does homelessness affect families with children? In many different ways. And it's up to us, the church, to intervene. Sarah, our Program Director, digs into harsh realities that homeless families and children can face, but how there's so much hope when the church joins together to step in!

If you have extra grocery bags or feel led to start saving them, we can always use more!

Thank you to Northside Church of Christ for creating EIGHTY snack packs for us! These snack packs are an essential add-on to the daily meals our homeless friends and neighbors receive.

This week, the Conway Ministry Center had the pleasure of hosting our 10th annual Community Appreciation Banquet. This event allows us to acknowledge the many volunteers that it takes to do what God has called the church to do: love one another.
The volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do at the Conway Ministry Center and without their support, the reach that we are able to make in Conway and surrounding areas would be limited. For this reason and more, we honor them.
Thanks to all who were able to come out! If you weren’t able to attend, sign up for our Newsletters at the bottom of our website and we will keep you updated on The Refuge Shelter and all things Conway Ministry Center!
RSVP deadline is TOMORROW for our September 17th banquet! You won't want to miss all of the exciting news and updates we have!

Volunteer Spotlight!!
Bill and Pam Berry have been serving in many capacities during their time as volunteers, including direct client interaction and behind-the-scenes preparation that takes place daily.
Their love of our program is obvious, and especially in the way that they love our staff and the clients we have the honor of serving.
Because of the support of people like Bill and Pam and the many other volunteers that show up every day, we are able to make a positive impact for our Conway community and those we are called to love.
We’re so thankful for the generosity of our community helping us provide for our homeless friends. Specific needs can vary at times, but some things are always needed. Here is a list of our biggest needs right now!

A HUGE thank you to the Conway Public Schools for their generous 500 meal donation! Did you know that since June 1, we have fed 1,754 people with a daily meal, many of them children like the one pictured here. This gift impacts some of our most vulnerable citizens, and we are thankful for the love and support that our schools give for kids in need!
Big shoutout to Steve and Cheryl Daniels for helping us get this donation!
Misconceptions about homelessness are common - read this powerful blog by Sarah Wilson where she unpacks a personal story of a homeless friend in our community seeking help while defying all common misconceptions about homelessness.

Volunteer spotlight!!! If you haven't met Jim, he's been an outstanding volunteer and a huge blessing to The Conway Ministry Center. Jim began serving those in need with us around 5 months ago and serves in a number of ways. Whether he's helping us organize in the mornings to prepare for the serve, portioning out meals for the Hub, or helping clients shop for their groceries, Jim keeps a humble and graceful heart. We're lucky to have you, Jim!

Helping the Hurting in Central Arkansas since 2014.
From the very beginning, the Conway Ministry Center set out to be a meeting place. A place where families in crisis meet with staff and volunteers who care for them and desire to help.
We offer one-on-one case management, rent and utility assistance along with a weekly client-choice, food pantry.
Last year we served over 4,000+ households through the Storehouse and 475+ families in Case Management.
