Since the beginning of the monkeypox outbreak in the U.S., testing by the Laboratory Response Network has identified hundreds of probable monkeypox cases, enabling clinicians to start patients on anti-viral medication and giving public health officials data to take necessary actions to stop the spread of disease.

CDC and FDA have worked closely with partners to give five large commercial laboratories the ability to use this test—increasing national testing capacity from 8,000 to almost 60,000 tests per week when all five commercial labs begin testing. https://bit.ly/mm7128e1.

Monkeypox Update: As of July 5th, 6,924 confirmed or probable monkeypox cases have been identified in over 52 countries, including in the US. Learn more: https://bit.ly/3HmORDD .

As of February 22, 2022, 253.1 million people, or about 76.2% of the U.S. population, have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Of those, 215 million, or about 64.8%, are fully vaccinated. More than 93.2 million people have received a booster dose.
