Join Johanna Yarala, me and a few others as we participate in a challenging workout called MURPH. This has been a annual workout we would do in our gym every year in honor our of Lt. Michael Murphy for his courage and sacrifice when him and his men were ambush in a recon mission in Afghanistan. (Google his story and watch the film LONE SURVIVOR). It's also a remembrance of those who have given their life for our freedom๐บ๐ฒ.
This workout can be physically demanding, but not impossible. We can modify/scale the workout down if you are a beginner or can't do certain movements. More importantly its about trying and doing your best in this workout.
Come join us as we meet at Cypress Park in Coral Springs. We'll get a small warm up, and little pep talk before we start this workout.

Today marks the end of an incredible journey as we prepare to close the doors of our beloved gym for the last time. It's been an amazing, inspiring, and rewarding 13 years, filled with sweat, laughter, and the kind of camaraderie that only comes from shared goals and shared struggles.
We started One Way Fitness with a dream - to create a community where everyone, regardless of their fitness level, could come and feel accepted, motivated, and supported. And our amazing members through out the years have made that dream a reality.
We have been privileged to witness your dedication and commitment to our clients health and fitness goals. We have celebrated your wins, shared in your struggles, and marveled at your incredible transformations. We have seen battles fought and triumphs earned, all within these walls.
Each one of you who set foot in our gym, shared a workout, a story, a smile, has left an indelible mark on our hearts. We are not just proud coach, but proud parents, watching our extended family grow and flourish. The friendships forged here will continue to inspire us and will be cherished forever.
From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU. Your trust, your dedication, your spirit have been the heartbeat of One Way Fitness.
Although this is a goodbye to our physical space, it is not a farewell to the community we've built together. We invite you to keep your eyes peeled for workout invites at local parks or beaches, because fitness is a journey, and this journey is far from over.
As we reflect on these wonderful years, we'd love to hear from you. If you've ever been part of our gym within our 13 years, please share in the comments a memorable or great moment you remember. Your stories are the threads that weave this wonderful tapestry of community we've built together, and we would love to hear them.
In closing, remember that every ending is a new beginning. Here's to the next chapter, wherever and however it may unfold.

When Julie first contacted me, she came to me with the same problem as most of my Mommy clients had.

-Julie was finally able to let go of her old eating habits.
-She was able to priotize a time of training despite her long days of work.
-She was able to cut out the filler exercises and replace them with the correct ones that maximized results with less time.
-And she still managed it, even when she had her daughter with her.
Why was Julie able to do this?..

Coach Katrina not only carrys barbells like its nothing, but also babies.
Press work is so important for upper body development. Adding dumbells to the press mix provides a great range of motion. The longer range of motion allows you add a rotation to the movement which engages the pectoralis major in "big" way. Plus, for those looking to get better at push-ups, this is one way!

3 heart racing rope drills you can do! Try them consecutive, back to back for about 15 seconds each then taking a 30 second break. As you get better up it to 20 seconds each then taking a 30 second break. Or step it up and do it 30 seconds each!

You can train all you want, but if you're not taking in the right amount of protein, carbs, and fats then progress will be slow and frustrating.
Here's a tip: You need to eat to lose weight. That's right. When you decide to neglect eating or portioning meals that are way to small, you will end up slowing your metabolism.
Your body is created to survive and it has built in mechanisms to protect you from starvation. When you exceedingly limit your food intake, or not eating a all, your body sees that as a danger and will halt burning off calories to conserve energy so you can live.
Your body doesn't know if you're stranded in a desert or if you're in a buffet line. It just knows it needs to survive. So eat and eat right!

As we only have a couple days left until we move in the year 2022, take a moment to reflect on all the accomplishments you've done. Maybe you had some let downs and failures last year too. There are 3 ways to look at that.
1. You decided to give up after your failure. Maybe it's not for you ๐คท๐ฝ.
2. You've learned from your failures and know exactly how to accomplish the goal you want next time.
3. You've realize that failure after failure only builds character, and each failure was only a step closer to your goal. So even through "failures" you continue to try and try, work, and put out. You resilience is only building for bigger goals ahead.
Now moving into the new year I hope you are stead fast and focused. I hope you've learn from your 2021 year, ready to put it behind you, and focus on what to do next. Here at One Way we want to wish you all a blessed New Year and may all your hard work grow into the goals you've been striving for!
