We are thrilled to announce another momentous achievement within our ATC Martial Arts family! Join us in applauding our newest Black Belts, Kye, Liam & Gavin! 🥋🥋🥋🥳 Although this post is way overdue, the emotions I’m feeling are still very much fresh!

I have had all 3 of these boys since they were tiny little lions. 🦁 To be alongside them the last 4-5 years on their journey to becoming a black belt and to watch them grow and each overcome different challenges as young men has been amazing to witness.

Kye has not only taught me how everything can relate to chess, but also how to persevere through uncomfortable situations. Many times I was the culprit pushing Kye outside of his comfort zone and although I knew he was nervous, I also knew he was capable…as he soon found out! I’m so glad he persevered through those tough times and achieved an amazing goal of becoming a black belt!

Liam is like the energizer taekwondo bunny! I will never forget his hunger for knowledge at an early age. He would practice multiple jump kicks in a row with me when he was 5 and never had a hard time keeping up with the juniors. He is the youngest to ever join the juniors and I think the youngest to get a black belt since Master Scotty! His focus and determination is unremarkable and I can’t wait to see where it takes him in life.

Gavin, my 1 man welcoming committee. I always joke how he is my class clown but in truth he has the biggest and most sensitive heart. He does not see fault in others and is always the 1st to cheer people on. He truly is a team player and welcoming to all students, young and old. I can always count on Gavin to work with new students because he has a gift of making them feel comfortable and confident.

I’m so proud of you Kye, Liam and Gavin. I always tell my students that their hearts are more important than their martial arts abilities and I hope as you grow into men your hearts are always full of love, honor, respect and willingness to teach others. ❤️❤️❤️

HAPPY TESTING DAY!!

ATC students know the most important thing about life is perseverance. Trying your best and break through limits and barriers. After months of hard work, each of the students earned his or her right to attend the testing. Not only had they learned hand techniques and kicking techniques, each of our ATC students had mastered their breaking techniques to an impressive scale. They displayed tenacity. They showed strength. They demonstrated power. They proved YES, WE CAN!

New families: The first week of trial class is ALWAYS free. Please come and take advantage of our free trial week of classes. We offer martial arts classes to kids age 2-5 (Cubs), 5-7 (Little Lions), and 7 and up (Juniors & Adults). In addition, we also offer Gumdo, Hapkido, agility training, and weapon training. We offer instructions to numerous styles of martial arts and we are an approved vendor listed under many local charter schools. At our dojo our ATC students receive trainings on conditioning, agility, form, techniques, self-defense, and board breaking. In addition, we offer ONLINE, OUTDOOR, and INDOOR instructions in the city of Corona. Our highly qualified instructors are here to guide, assist, and facilitate the growth of these incredible students.

TAEKWONDO
Taekwondo (TKD) is a set of systematic physical fighting skills featuring a variety of kicking techniques. The team of our instructors is made up of highly qualified and certified by USNTF: Grand Master Lind (9th Dan TKD, 8th Dan Hapkido, 5th Dan Gumdo), Master Scotty (4th Dan TKD, 2nd Dan Gumdo), Instructor Christie (4th Dan TKD), Instructors Kaylee (3rd Dan TKD), Chloie (3rd Dan TKD), and Training Instructor Jake. We offer Curious Cubs (age 2-4), Little Lions (age 5-7), Juniors (age 7-17), & adult classes.

HAPKIDO
Hapkido is a hybrid self-defense that utilizes joint locks, grappling, throwing, kicking, punching, and striking. Our Hapkido instructor Master Mo (4th Dan black belt Hapkido & 2nd Dan in TKD) has 40 years of experiences in martial arts teaching. Instructor Ma’am has been teaching Hapkido (1st Dan TKD, 2nd Dan Hapkido, 1st Dan Gumdo) at ATC for the past seven years.

KORYO GUMDO
Koryo Gumdo is an ancient but powerful Korean martial art that combines traditional (Kumdo, Kendo, Aido) and modern techniques, cutting, and forms for both offensive and defensive sword moves. Let Instructor Ma’am show you the way to become a proud Hwarang warrior.

Let me tell you what’s important about this group of kids at ATC’s spring camp. It wasn’t the fact that the kids had a lot of power, awesome technique, or high kicks. What was important was that every single one of them were met with challenges and instead of giving up and crying, they had amazing attitudes, were encouraging to each other and even said they want to come back to another camp! Many people think that martial arts is about being the best or having the best technique. Although that is a huge part of it, how you react in different situations says more to me than how high you can kick. I love these kids and know that ATC will play an important part in how these kids will turn into amazing adults one day 😍

HAPPY TESTING DAY!!

After months of training in the classes, our ATC kids are ready for their new belts! They had worked so hard to strive to be their better selves and we the instructors and parents could not have been more proud of their achievements!

Our ATC kids tested in accordance with their class and belt levels. Yet no matter what belt or class they are in, whether they were doing warm ups, hand techniques, kicking techniques, individual forms, board breaking, rule reciting, they have the discipline to hold still like a mountain and the skills to move smoothly like fluid when need be.

ATC offers INDOOR, OUTDOOR, and ZOOM instructions on a variety of martial arts. For students who prefer to learn self-defense through grappling and joint lock, Hapkido is for you. Meanwhile, Gumdo shows students the way to reach the mastery, grace, and proper restraint of weapon usage.

Our Taekwondo classes separate kids by age (Curious Cubs: 2-3 year-old, Little Lions 4-7 year-old, and Juniors 7-17). This allows little kids to enjoy more play-based instructions and older kids be challenged with higher intensity of discipline in forms and physical fitness training.

We are located in Corona and we are an approved vendor for many local charter schools. Please come and join the ATC Family!
