As women, we are strong in so many ways, but unfortunately, more of us get Alzheimer’s Disease than men. In fact, women are twice as likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease in their 60s as they are to get breast cancer, and nearly two out of three people living with Alzheimer’s Disease are female.
Curves has partnered with WomenAgainstAlzheimer’s and the Be Brain Powerful campaign. The Be Brain Powerful campaign is designed to infuse hope and action into the Alzheimer’s conversation, ultimately giving women control of their brain health through education and the launch of its 30-Day Brain Health Challenge. Funds raised for the Be Brain Powerful campaign will provide education to women across the country, support community based organizations, and advance a sex-based research agenda that explores the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease in women.
