Isang Bansang Pilipino (IBP) is the official Filipino-American Student Association of Oregon State University. IBP is open to all who are interested, whether you are of Filipino descent or if you just want to learn about the culture. We strive to educate the Oregon State University community as well as the surrounding communities about the Filipino Culture through annual performances, food present

Last but not least, in this spotlight, we will be highlighting Co-President Michelle Vintero!
Michelle has been a part of IBP for three years and has been on the executive board for two, as the secretary and co-president. She also participated in our Intramural spots such as Volleyball, Women’s & Co-Ed Basketball, and Soccer. She even won the 2v2 Basketball tournament this year! Michelle has also performed in three PCNs! She has performed in skits, itik itik, hip hop, and was a choreographer for this year’s tinikling performance! Michelle will be graduating as a Baebingka alumni in our AKAP program.
We will miss you so much, Michelle! Good luck!

In this spotlight, we are highlighting Melia Smith!
Melia has represented IBP in many ways, including all of the Intramural teams she has participated in. 3x CoEd Basketball, 2x Women’s Basketball (including being a captain this year), 2x Volleyball, and Soccer. What can’t she do? Melia has been a part of PCN for two years, in performances such as itik itik, kini kini, and sakuting. She will be graduating as a BananaQT alumni in our AKAP program.

This spotlight, we will be highlighting Robert Krieger!
Robert has been a part of IBP for three years! This year, he led the arts & crafts general meeting as well as playing Richard Baker in our PCN skit: Nanay Nia! He is also known as being the #1 trumpet player in IBP. He was also an active participant in IBP Intramurals such as IM Soccer, Volleyball, and Frisbee. He will be graduating as an Adoboy alumni in our AKAP program.

In this spotlight, we are highlighting Sam Visaya!
Sam has been a member of IBP for three years and was a PCN intern, a NWFASA Representative, and a Junior Advisor. During Intramurals, Sam played in Women’s and Co-ed Basketball, and also is an Intramural Tennis Champion! She also has a dog named Enzo and is known for her Spanish bread. She will be graduating as a Pakwan alumni in our AKAP program.

Kendra has been an IBPeep for two years, performing in PCN both years! She has performed in Kini Kini, Itik Itik, and Tinikling… and she SLAYED in all three 💯

Lei has had a great influence in IBP this year. She fully designed our IBP stickers, IBP shirt, AND IBP sweater. To top it all off, she sang as one of our performers during PCN this year! She will be graduating as a Spamilya alumni in our AKAP program.

We’ve recently recognized an oversight on our part concerning our Spring retreat and want to fully own up to it. On behalf of the staff, we sincerely apologize for this error. Therefore, it’s important for us to address this promptly. Our solution involves a RESTART of our retreat registration process. If you’ve already filled out the form circulated about a week ago, please DISREGARD it, as we’re scrapping that version. Instead, keep an eye out for a NEW form!
Our spring retreat is just around the corner! We’re heading to Waldport for a weekend getaway from May 17th to 19th, but spots are LIMITED! We will be releasing the interest form TOMORROW (Wednesday, 5/8) AT 6 PM! You don’t want to miss it!
